コスパの高いホテルである。７月２４日から３０１号室（月山）に２連泊。3階はグランド和室が3室のみ。２０２２年にリニューアルしたようで、畳も新しく、気持ちが良い。部屋はとても広く、30畳、ダイニングルーム、洗面所等、快適。ただ、ＴＶがやや小さいのが残念。眺望は、南に最上川と田園、遠くに山形市と蔵王連峰が見える。特筆すべきは、温泉。露天風呂もある。ホテル棟からつながる温泉棟は、日本建築の良さを採り入れた物。大浴場内湯は、木造り感がとても良い。湯は常に流れている。洗い場は十数か所。コロナ対策で、一つ置きの使用表示。使用しなかったが、サウナもある。混雑することは、一度もなかった。夕食は、地元の食材を使った会席料理。大宴会場と個室利用。朝食はバイキングと和会席。ロビー・ラウンジも広く、フロントスタッフも好印象。チャペルも備え、結婚式場に利用されているようだ。2日目は地元企業の大きな会合利用で、駐車場もいっぱいに。町から離れており、静かで、温泉でゆっくりするにはもってこいである。寒河江サービスエリアのスマートＩＣが3分とかからず、山形自動車道利用には便利だった。これまで山形県の宿泊では蔵王温泉ばかりだったので、山形空港を使うときは、車で30分程の寒河江温泉も便利で良いと感じた。

The indoor bath was labeled as slightly lukewarm, but I felt it was generally a little hotter. There was no chlorine disinfection in the hot water, and I was able to feel a very fragrant smell. The hotel is situated in a very small town and it was decent considering Shinjo not being a rather popular destination compared to other parts of Yamagata. Free parking and the double room we stayed in was very huge for Japanese standards. Some facilities were old but still clean. WIFI was quite unstable though and some websites took very long to load. Staff at the reception were friendly and check in check out went smooth. There is practically nothing around the area so be prepared to go there with food if your meals are not included, and if you dont have a car. There is only a visible drug store walkable from the hotel, and I think a family mart convenience store some minutes away. We walked to a big supermarket, which was about 15 minutes walk from the hotel along the river.

It's right in front of the station. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, Mac, Daiso, rental cars, etc. within walking distance, making it convenient for business and sightseeing. The building is new and clean. This time I had a twin room, but the room was normal and didn't feel oppressive. However, there is no closet and it is difficult to store clothes for two people in the 15cm gap at the entrance. I wonder what I would do if I had a winter coat. The wall is empty but there are no hooks, I wish I had one. The bathhouse is on the 1st floor, but there is only one elevator, so I share the ride with business people and people who are checking in after taking a bath.
