The management and owners of this hotel should be ashamed. My husband and I have stayed here before and the hotel was decent. This time has been a totally different story. We were given a room that at first glance was questionable but we were tired so we were going to just nap and leave. We were EXTREMELY tired after spending all day helping our daughter move into her dorm. However upon entering the bathroom, I lost it. It was absolutely DISGUSTING! I have stayed in hundreds of hotels at all levels and the bathroom in this room was the WORST ever. Black mold, peeling and rust in the tub, lime scale, broken baseboards just pure unadulterated disgustingness. The room should not have been made available to anyone! We requested another room and were given one a few doors over and at that point, at 4 am in the morning I was enraged. We made a pointless call to the toll free customer service number and were told that we would have to resolve it with the hotel directly. We were then given another room that had an absolutely filthy carpet and tub with a nasty black chip in it and mold around it was well. At that point I made a very firm request to get my money or a room with no mold (myself and my husband have allergies and mold is just not good for anyone to be around. The 4th room FINALLY had a decent bathroom, carpet and furniture. I use the term decent loosely. It was still not as clean as it should be and the hall on the floor was covered in dirt. At 5 am in the morning I am over it. My suggestion is if you are okay staying in a filthy, nasty, disgusting hotel room go to this is your place, if not, drive to the next town so that your trip is not ruined. My advice to management, shut the rooms down on the 2nd floor! EVERY LAST ONE IF THEM. Otherwise, someone is going to sue you for exposing them to mold. You should also have some integrity, properly upgrade your room and do what you need to do in order to make sure you are not exposing people to mold. The whole place needs remediation. You are jeopardizing peoples health And maybe even lives. I will . NEVER!!!

Anyone who gives this place a good review - for other than the location - clearly has never stayed at a decent hotel. The property DESPERATELY needs a refresh. The bathroom was moldy, the shower curtain was ripped across the entire top, the upholstery on one chair was gross and stained, and the ”leather” on the desk chair was torn, and the pillows were either lumpy/clumpy or bricks of ancient foam. Just a really bad experience. Could not wait to leave.

We enjoyed this hotel so much we decided to spend another night. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Debbie and Carol at the front desk were a delight. Both recommended places to eat that were good. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was good but it sat up so high it was hard for me to get into. I am 5'3”. Once in, it was very comfortable. Room was quiet. Close to the university and activities.
