Spectacular hotel, very kind and super helpful staff. Gorgeous room with super clean private bathroom and gorgeous shower. All personal hygiene products are offered by them and access to the swimming pool is also available which offers a bar and lifeguard service always available. It is equipped with special bathrooms and changing rooms. Breakfast is served as a buffet and the staff is very kind and above all bilingual, there is a vast choice of food and the location in which they serve it overlooks the lawn and there is the possibility of having breakfast outdoors too. I highly recommend it for a comfortable experience at a special price!

We stayed at the end of August in this very nice hotel, well located 15 minutes from the airport, close to the port and the center, the beaches (ideal with a car) and benefiting from a small shopping center just opposite. Very nice room and bathroom spacious and very clean. Superb infinity pool overlooking the bay and the harbor (the nearby industrial area is not shocking). Hearty breakfast and gourmet restaurant at affordable prices. Friendly attentive staff (a special mention at reception for Sandra who is super caring and speaks French very well). And above all very acceptable prices and formulas with TRIP.COM. We will be back!!

This might have been the best Hotel experience I’ve ever had. First of all the hotel is beautiful, not too big and not too small. The pool area is amazing, with a nice infinity pool, sun beds with umbrellas, trees, food area, outdoor gym, everything well taken care of by the staff and gardeners. They also have a pool bar opened all day with very good cocktails and some snacks. We had dinner at the restaurant the last two days of our vacation, and wow. Amazing food, amazing service. The breakfast was delicious! Pina memorized our order on day two of our visit and always came to us with cappuccino and omelette a la minute. A special thanks to Domenico who provided us with the best genuine service we’ve ever had. Such a polite and nice employee. He gave us lots of great suggestions for beaches, cities to visit, etc, and always made sure we enjoyed our time at the hotel.

We had the unfortunate experience of staying here. If you stay here and have been to a genuine 4 star hotel you will quickly realise this is not 4 stars. If I was to be generous, this is a 2 star bed and breakfast motel. 1. Rude and incompetent staff The staff at the check-in desk are really unwelcoming. Their mannerisms come across as lazy and hostile. When we expressed our concerns to the staff they were rude and tried to shut us up. They kept telling us it’s not their responsibility to deal with concerns because we didn’t book with the hotel directly. If you ask them anything they will just reply "I don't know". I have emailed the manager, Marcella, and expressed my concerns and she has responded with accusations and lies. This is so very embarrassing. 2. Terrible and unhygienic breakfast covered in flys The breakfast looked like it was continually being reheated everyday (photo of the eggs as an example - I've never seen scrambled eggs with foam around the edges or crust on the sides). The breakfast food was inadequate and not what you would expect of a 4 star hotel. There were flys sitting on the food at breakfast and when we showed this to the restaurant staff, they didn’t replace the contaminated food, they simply swatted the flys away. The fruit looked like it had been left out everyday and reused. 3. Shocking towel policy and dirty towels For a 4 star hotel, you would expect very basic things to be included, such as fresh new pool towels everyday. The hotel said we get one free towel and if we want to change our towels it will cost €5 per towel. When I expressed my concerns, it was explained to me that this is apparently due to “environmental” reasons why they encourage customers to avoid getting new towels. This is absolutely disgusting and filthy. They also claim to pride yourselves on “cleanliness” but want to be “environmentally friendly” by encouraging guests to keep the same pool towels everyday? That’s absolutely filthy. These are towels being used by people out in the sun, sweating with creams on. How incredibly unhygienic. I spoke to another guest about this ridiculous policy and she said she didn’t even know she was being charged for the new towels - the shock clearly shows people expect fresh towels to be included as part of 4 star hotel service. The policy is not because they want to be environmentally friendly but because they are cheap and want to make more money. The “fresh” pool towels they did provide us with were also dirty and stained. Very concerning. I might get a health check to ensure I did not catch any diseases from staying at this hotel. 4. Dirty room when checking in When we checked into our room, the bins were still full from the previous guests and it appears there was a nappy in there. First of all, as our colleagues already said, We'd like to point out that everyday we do our best in order to satisfy guests' expectations. Guest happiness and satisfaction is the hotel happiness of every single person that works with us. We're sorry to read that you defined our hotel a 2 star hotel and trust us, this is the very first time that a guest makes a complaint like yours as no one, during or after the stay has ever expressed such disappointment towards our services and policies. At check in time, the front desk agents did their best to provide a free early check in at 2pm, while the check in time is at 3 pm, in the standard room you booked: this caused the inconvenience of the bin but, as far as I know, the housekeeping promptly provided to clean it. As soon as you entered the room, you claimed for a free upgrade, as you didn't like the standard room you chose, paying € 1578.46 for the 7 nights. As we were quite fully booked, my colleagues offered an upgrade to a superior room with a view on the pool, with an extra charge of 50€ per day, instead of 80€ per day, which you refused. The housekeeping also provided a packet of 5 clean towels, meaning a packet that arrived in the same morning from the outsourcing industrial laundry service, closed with plastic bags, that wasn't managed from any human hand. The policy is not shocking. We encourage guests not to waste water, to protect the environment (this is also the reason why we are a completely non-smoking hotel) and to keep the same pool towels: but in case someone needs to change there is a charge of 5 € per towel (That you didn't pay as we gave you 5 free towels on top of the 1 per person as per standard). About the "unprofessional gardening staff": the lifeguard lady kindly asked you to move from your table to another one as we needed to cut the grass, but you didn't want to move. We have to inform you that in Italy we follow the European laws related to GDPR (that we invite you to read). Within all its clauses, there’s the one related to the fact that and you cannot take pictures of people's faces without permission of the people themselves. Which is exactly what you did as no one gave you that permission. Therefore, we kindly ask you to immediately delete the photos and don’t publish it nore share it anywhere otherwise we would have to act accordingly to the GDPR. In our website as well as in third parties websites, we do not advertise porterage service, neither that we provide free towels for the pool. About the wasps in the pool area, we are in Sardinia, in the middle of the countryside and sometimes it is possible that the nature that surrounds us provides also some wasps. We do have in place a weekly control operated by our pest control company. Regarding breakfast, we have fresh food every single day. Nothing is reheated or reused. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. We stayed here for 3 nights with friends. The hotel isn’t in the best location as there aren’t many amenities nearby apart from a supermarket and pharmacy. We hired a car and would drive into Olbia town which is nice, we had lunch a couple of times and went once for dinner. On day we drove to Palau, which is 1 hour drive away and on the marina front negotiated a great deal with a skipper to take us around the islands. I’d definitely recommend this as its so worth going to see the crystal clear turquoise waters. Amazing! The pool area overlooks a mussel farm and ferry moor which you couldn’t see when you were laying on a sunbed or in the pool. We hired cars so we could explore the Costa Smeralda and I’m very glad we did. We didn’t spend all day by the pool but when we did the pool bar was rarely manned. Nonetheless it was pleasant as we mostly had the pool are to ourselves but expect this is because we went when it was out of season. The pool towel situation is quite strange as they charge you €5 for every clean towel after the first free one. However, having heard of this before when staying at hotels in Sardenia, I wasn’t surprised. We weren’t impacted as we were mostly out during the day. The other strange thing is that they took €300 deposit in case you forgot to pay for drinks or damaged the room. We were refunded at the end of our stay however, I didn’t feel comfortable with this at all. I know most hotels take a credit card number as security but have never heard of taking this at check in. Food choice was sub standard but the quality was ok. It would have been nice to have more choice and not just ‘vegetable soup’ or beef. Considering we were by the coast I would have expected more of a choice of fish, (like bass, bream, salmon, tuna, swordfish) whereas for 2 of the 3 nights we were served cuttlefish. There was a good variety of food at breakfast, none of us had the scrambled eggs as they looked off colour. But the rest of the choice was good. The staff were mostly pleasant. We were mostly served by a great waiter, Silvestre who worked so hard everyday and made us feel comfortable. All in all, as far as 4 star hotels in Italy go, it was comfortable, clean with ok food. Would consider staying again.

I have to say Hotel DP Olbia was a fine hotel! Great food & the restaurant menu was top notch. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, spotless & the beds were a dream. The staff were so friendly..Roberto making the coffee in the morning, Sylvester making the cocktails in the evening & Karla so smiley and helpful each morning. Silvia was so kind, obliging and helpful on reception as was Alin. But the waiter who made our experience exceptional was Michel-angelo. He made us cry with laughter and his service was second to none . 7 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. He is a great asset to the hotel & the reason we ate in the restaurant every night except one. The restaurant manager Marco was so accommodating also, especially when our flight got cancelled & he cheered us up with a fine bottle of wine . A true professional! The hotel made my Sardinian experience. Laughter is the best medicine. Michel-angelo your a true legend .🍀

We had a very pleasant stay for 11 nights. The hotel is beautifully located overlooking the Olbia bay area. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The breakfast is great. Fresh products and enough options. The restaurant for dinner is very very good. Really enjoyed our dinner there. I really recommend a (rental) car if you are planning to stay here for a longer period of time. There is a bus stop close by that can bring you to the center, or the beach (5min drive). I will remember thuis place when we come back to Sardinia. The whole area is really beautiful!

I had a lovely time at hotel DP, the staff were warm and welcoming and really made my stay special. The public transport was very easy to navigate into town and to the beaches.

We booked this hotel with my friends to spend a nice holiday by the pool and the beach, but unfortunately there were many many wrong things with this hotel. First, the Reception was not rude but not helpful at all. Every time we would ask for some information (because they didn't give us any) or basic things, their reply where either " I don't know" or "No no no"...I work in hotels and this is not the service of a 4 star rated hotel. Either the team is not trained enough and they are lacking a manager on site. The breakfast was terrible. Everything was already precooked, poor quality and even the coffee was bad (we are in Italy! that shouldn't be complicated). The room was quite large and spacious. The overall cleaning was ok, but if you started looking like the windows or the curtains, it was bad. They had a lot of stains. The pool area is nice, but nowhere is mentioned that we are next to a loud road and an industrial area (not nice). The worst, was when I wanted to go the pool in the morning, stopped by Reception to ask the opening hours, they told me 9:00 AM and showed me the sign that mentioned it there. I went then to the pool at 9:30 AM and got inside the water. The lifeguard came to me shouting to get out as the pool opened at 10:00 AM. He literally kicked me out of the water. I told him that was not the information given to me at Reception. I, obviously, went to complain of their misinformation and the answer was "oh I am sorry". There are a lot of rules and threats written (like no eating anything that doesn't come from the hotel IN YOUR ROOM, or you'll get a 200€ fine) all over the hotel of everything you cannot do, it doesn't feel very welcoming. We had several episodes like this, but you can get an overall picture. Overall, this is not the 4 star service expected for the price paid and the descriptions on site. Very disappointed...

We are sorry we didn't meet your expectations during breakfast, but please be informed that our meals are freshly prepared, and some of them are just upon request. Yes, we are in Italy, and we guess we know how to prepare a coffee, but at the same time we respect your point of view :) Our hotel stands 1.5km from Pittulongu beach and our position is well located on Google Maps, so our guests can check where we are before making a reservation :) A 9Am we clean the swimming pool using particular chemicals (to clean and sanitize the water) that's why we do not allow our guest to get into the pool earlier, only for safety reasons. Of course, we truly apologize for the misunderstanding. Please be informed that it is not our intention to threat our guests, but we just give you a full explanation about our house policies and we take the right to charge you a supplement if we find extra trash in room (the supplement is only for the extra cleaning) and we find any cigarettes leftovers or we smell smoke in room (as our hotel is entirely non smoking, apart from a dedicated space outside). We are sorry we did not completely meet your expectations, but we will take care of your comments in order to improve ourselves. Our guests feedback really matters to us. On the pictures it looked beautiful.To be honest the pool area is and the rooms are okay very basic. They only thing not in the pictures is the huge industrial site and road just next to the pool. I re read the comment this evening and I confirm they go from awful to wonderful which is confusing but Ill give you my experience about it. The only nice thing about this hotel is the pool.The rooms are very simple, most towels are old needing a change and I attached some pictures of our windows that were so dirty I couldn't see the sun. Apart from that the hotel staff aren't rude but I wouldn't say polite maybe just very untrained.Every answer to a question we got was " I don't know " or "No" no explanations, no solutions or even a let me check. Also ask questions about breakfast , wifi etc because staff don't tell you anything. I asked for ice one evening because the fridge in our room wasn't working oh my gosh I felt it was so difficult to get an answer "Oh...uh..ice I don't know" until we gave up and left it. Also amused to find out when I ordered a cocktail at the bar and asked for a glass of tap water that you can't drink the water at the hotel nor in the rooms.No one mentioned it and nothing indicated in the room ....but we already did so pray for the best. Breakfast looks super nice on the menu but nah everything is cheap and undercooked honestly I am a huge breakfast fan and stuck to a coffee for that morning . Also bring your own city map that was also a no....my friends and I giggled about it in the end. because It was just so bad. Not worth it not a 4 stars in anyway did not enjoy it. Book here and you will be disappointed.

Excellent place to stay. I really enjoyed and appreciated the room, the service and the food. Breakfast is fantastic, great coffee too!!! I highly recommend also to who has an early departure next day. I will definitely be back.
