worts experience , no staff to follow up on my issue with poop on the bed sheet and spider in the room

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly at reception and in the breakfast room. We attended the NYE event and although I had requested to be seated with friends, this was not the case and we had to move tables and chairs around. The buffet food was ok although I think there should have been more set out as I queued for 40 minutes to get food. We were also amazed to be told, by a member of staff, that we could only have one piece of cake. At £50 per ticket we found this disappointing.

Actually writing this whilst at holiday inn. Been for breakfast and Lynda and the team were amazing, got extra fresh pancakes for my son, which he loved with syrup. Full English on offer, sausages were delicious. Muffins, croissants, all what you could want. Looking forward to our breakfast tomorrow morning. Housekeeping have really gone the extra mile for us, the room is lovely and clean, beds are so comfy. Front of house again exceptional, really friendly and professional. Needed a few extras for our 6 month old an nothings too much trouble. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

You can hear taps running loudly from other rooms People walking about. Lifts dirty And clunks when stopping No fridge in room like other IHG hotels Very small bathroom Near busy main road so ask for a quiet room at the back. Food Luke warm in the restaurant and not cooked properly Staff at reception are lovely and very helpful.

Firstly I just want to say how beautiful our room was at the holiday inn, we stayed there the wedding night & it was beautiful & spacious, it literally had everything we needed & could have wanted. It was clean, coffee machine, fridge, hairdryer, towels, everything you need! We had our wedding on the 29.03.2024 at smokies park and I’m totally blown away. With only around 8 months of planning - it felt like a lifetime of waiting but my god we had the most perfect wedding day and venue!!! Clare - couldn’t fault a single thing! We had several meetings in the run up to our wedding day and everything was thoroughly planned and timed perfectly! Clare honestly went above & beyond. Nothing was too much to ask, whenever I had a question or needed to know something Clare would reply back to my emails immediately! On the day of the wedding Clare made my dress perfect as I was flapping! Clare watched me go into the venue to meet my new husband :) Couldn’t thank you enough Clare! Colin - what a guy! Completely smashed the whole day and honestly is the best! All our guest commented on how well Colin was throughout our wedding day and how he smashed the whole day! (Especially putting up with us lot) Colin had stayed later than his shift to see us through the night & joined in with our guest which they absolutely loved!!!! Colin made sure everything was ok with me & my partner before it happened or to make sure everything was set up ok before guest entered. I literally couldn’t thank you enough for everything you did that day! We appreciate it loads!! Also a quick shout out to Stef the room dresser, it was absolutely beautiful. I could not fault a single thing! The tables were perfect, flowers on the top table absolutely beautiful, centre pieces GORGEOUS!!! Thankyou so much!!!!! All staff at the holiday inn were friendly, smiley, and always there to help if needed. Nothing was too much to ask! Holiday inn / smokies park… we won’t ever forget what you all have done and did on the day of our wedding! We cannot thank you enough. What an amazing venue for a wedding! We booked our wedding just over 2 years ago, and finally had our big day yesterday. The staff are so kind, caring and helpful. Special mention to Clare (our amazing wedding planner), Jamie (the best wedding co-ordinator), and Miguel (the best barman in Manchester)! They all went above and beyond to make our day the most special experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything went so smoothly. Everyone commented on how nice everything was, from the decor, to the food, and how attentive the staff were. Even when we have visited prior to the big day with family, Jamie & Clare took time out of their busy days to introduce themselves and made our family feel so welcomed. They even gave us our first wedding card, which was a nice personal touch. I could not recommend this place enough to celebrate your special day.

Lovely renovated room, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in that area again.
