Six Senses Laamu

Exceptional experience from beginning to end. We travel a lot for pleasure and business, and have never had such a warm welcome. Incredible dive center, spa, dining and villas. A must visit property with a wonderful staff!

Absolutely spectacular and the service is amongst the most amazing I’ve ever received in my life and the dolphins and the sea life is just absolutely mesmerising. I was lucky enough to spend my days lounging by the sea and my afternoon swimming in the sea and my evenings bathed in Luxury.

We had a wonderful experience staying 10 nights at Six Sense, Laamu in September. Highlights of the holiday, were the amazing staff, particularly our Guest Experience Manager (GEM), Shah. He ensured our visit was as perfect as possible, helping with all aspects of our stay. The food at the resort is top class, with a choice of restaurants, Leaf being our favourite restaurant. We enjoyed several treatments at the beautiful and relaxing spa. We are divers and following a refresher dive, we took a couple more dives. The snorkelling is just as good as the diving with lots of turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays etc to see. The resort has a marine research centre which was very interesting. We managed to observe a nest of turtles hatching on the beach. Overall, this was an amazing holiday experience and would love to return one day.

Six Senses Laamu. Stunning location along with fantastic service, led by our GEM Shah, wonderful food, great dive school. We loved the addition of the sea plane from Male to the resort. The biggest change from our last visit is the quality of the food which is now exceptionally good. We loved Leaf but our favourite meal was the Maldivian curry

Six senses Laamu is a magical place. The feeling that all the staff create is truly incredible - from the moment you are picked up at the airport to the moment you board the plane back home you are taken care of with exceptional hospitality. Our GEM Pablo was fantastic, always around if we needed some advice or wanted to book an activity. The resort caters for everyone, those who want to relax at the spa to those who are looking for more of an adventure - We would recommend the snorkelling tour and checking out the SHELL to find out all about the sustainability work that goes on at Six Sense. Shout out to CoCo who took us on a dolphin cruise & gave a fascinating talk on coral! The food & drink was exceptional - Warren, Hassan and Heikal, thank you for your incredible hospitality. If you go you must try Sini’s pancakes at breakfast (not just for the kids!!!). We are already planning how do we come back to this wonderful island - truly the best honeymoon we could have hoped for. Thank you to all the team at Laamu.

2 Aussie couples in their 40's visiting for 8 nights. The 2 blokes were surfers. We got breakfast, dinner and drinks included in our package. This place is absolute paradise, the photos do not do it justice. The luxury is constantly evident but in a relaxed fashion. Most of the staff are very friendly and want to help you, many are locals from neighboring islands. It costs a bomb, particularly for Aussies with the exchange rate, but rest assured you will not be disappointed or feel it was a waste of money. Its real bucket list. Positives: - If you are drinkers get the sinners package and take the head screw of price monitoring out of the equation. Yes, it's still bloody expensive but the whole holiday is, so just pay it and enjoy. The little snacks and room drinks they include add to the value too. - The snorkeling right out front (house reef) is the best I've ever had, better than barrier reef, and its literally right there. Colorful coral and marine life everywhere. - The food is all time, I particularly enjoyed the street food theme nights, where they have 8-10 stations of all different food to try. - Private seaplane transfer is beautiful - Room views are sensational, we stayed jetty C ocean side, looking out towards Jetty C surf break and Ying Yangs - The bikes are super cool and add to the relaxed vibe along with the no shoes policy. Jetty C is the furthest away from main hub and is probably 5 min bike ride. - Day Spa and massages are sensational 6 star Negatives: - We got 1 day of OK 2ft surf at Ying Yangs and 1 x average 2ft day on Outside Reef but otherwise nothing. You can't help mother nature, and the staff were all amazing and super helpful, but it was definitely disappointing. The other thing was we were told by the surf travel company we booked through, that with an 8 day trip in May we would pretty much be guaranteed of scoring some waves, however the surf guys at the resort said it can be fickle in May and better to come in July or August if you want guaranteed waves. Ying Yangs does look like a sick setup. - The resort can be a little too eager to get you to do upsold activities, at the day spa and dinner upgrades. We did a couple of cheaper dinner upgrades, but not many, and we were totally happy and didn't feel we missed out. There are plenty of free options for food and activities. Gorgeous memories thanks to all the staff - from top management (the lady who manages this place is awesome) right down the chain to the waiters and cleaners :)

My wife and I recently returned from our second visit to Six Senses Laamu, this time on our honeymoon. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. The accommodation, amenities, food, and natural beauty of the island is incredible. As returning guests, it was also great to see the resort continuing to introduce new offerings. We really enjoyed the mangrove kayaking experience, teppanyaki dining, and a tour of the amazing SHELL facility - all new from our previous visit in 2022. In our opinion, what really sets Six Senses Laamu apart is the warm hospitality of the hosts. The care and attention to detail on guest experience is truly special. Our guest experience maker - Pablo, was wonderful. Always attentive to our needs and proactive in suggesting and arranging experiences. We would also like to mention the wonderful hospitality of Warren, Hassan, and Heikal in the food and beverage team, and also Coco in the marine biology team. Six Senses Laamu is a special place, offering an experience worth every penny, and we hope to return soon!

Our time at the resort was absolutely amazing! Shah, our GEM, provided outstanding service, ensuring that every detail was taken care of and our daily activities were planned perfectly. One of our favorite parts of each day was stopping by the ice cream shop, where Sarah’s warm and cheerful presence always brought a smile to our faces. The wildlife experiences were truly breathtaking—I saw dolphins, sharks, stingrays, and a variety of tropical fish. The highlight of the trip was witnessing the incredible and rare moment of sea turtles hatching. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This resort not only brings you close to wildlife but also lets you discover the true beauty and wonder of nature. My stay at Six Senses Laamu Resort was truly unforgettable! The service provided by our GEM, Shah, was exceptional—he went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. He organized our daily itinerary perfectly, making sure each day was well-planned and enjoyable. A daily highlight was visiting the ice cream shop and being greeted by Sarah, whose warm smile and friendliness made each visit a joy. The resort offers not only the chance to be close to wildlife but also the perfect environment to relax and find peace. It was a wonderful balance of adventure and tranquility. Highly recommend!
