Sehr schönes Hotel mit einem tollen Garten und gemütlich, obwohl es direkt an der Bahnlinie liegt. Für den Tripp zum Machu Picchu perfekt gelegen. Dazu sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und das Restaurant ist zu empfehlen.

Lovely hotel right next to the train station. We stayed for one night to assist with acclimatizing. The food/breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to restaurants in town. It was a little loud at night because of the train, but ear plugs are provided and we were so tired that we slept well anyways.

A very nice hotel, but it has its flaws. Among the advantages, there is obviously the ideal location, on the platform of the station where trains to Machu Picchu leave. It is not very easy to find the hotel, since no instructions were given on how to enter the station without a ticket. Even regarding parking, it was not explained in advance what to do when you arrive in the very crowded street of the station. Having said that, the hotel is very nice, surrounded by trees, in the very suggestive location of the station, and with the comfort of being just a few meters from the train. The hotel restaurant is excellent for both the included breakfast and dinner. Noise, however, can be a problem in the rooms. Partly due to the trains, which can be heard in the distance but not really disturbing, and partly due to the noise of the people waiting in the hotel courtyard for their train. In the evening, it was necessary to call the reception to put an end to the racket. The staff were friendly and effective.

Our room was on the 2nd floor with Mountain View, one of the furthest away from the train station. With the windows open on 2 sides of the room, you can smell the fragrant angel trumpet plant. It was stunning. El Albergue also arranged guide service for us including transportation from Cusco airport and four 1/2 days of guided service including Macchu Pichu and train tickets. WELL worth it! Our guide was so knowledgeable. Highly recommend this hotel.
