Hotels near Innoshima Navy Castle in Onomichi

There seemed to be a bus from Shin-Onomichi, but I took a taxi and arrived at the hotel in about 15 minutes. Take the elevator from the road and there is a reception on the 2nd floor. The room was very large and had a good water view. The JR station, restaurant, small shopping building, etc. were also nearby and it was in a good location. Anyway, it was cold so I used the hotel Italian for dinner. It was my first time with lemon-flavored carbonara, but it was delicious. I was impressed that the friendly staff who served in Italian the night before at the breakfast restaurant the next day said that thank you for using the restaurant last night.

The corona countermeasure is also good! The staff responded with a smile. I am grateful to answer the request comfortably. I was grateful for the charging equipment of the smartphone from the early morning, and it was a happy ⭐︎ for me with smartphone dependence. This is a wonderful hotel, unfortunately we were put into the smallest room, one that was so small and filled with unusable furniture that there was no space for one guest let alone two. Getting around meant one person had to stay on the bed while the other crawled to the sink or shower room. The room was so tiny that staying in it was a constant source of tension, the kind of tension that can ruin a vacation. It was so small, it was almost impossible to step into the room and move aside so you could close the door behind you. There is a similar problem maneuvering into the shower. So if you want to stay in this hotel definitely ask not to be put in room 214. It's torture. Management would do well to remove the bed, the nightstand, the chair (which cannot be used because it has to be crammed so close to the small bed), and the small table next to the chair that also cannot be used. Replace the furniture with tatami, futons and a couple of pads to sit on. Now, moving on from the agitation of being sentenced to Room 214, this hotel has a lot going for it. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The hotel and the Onomichi train station share the same building -- a brand new building -- so as soon as you step off the train, you're at your hotel. Also, the building is completely soundproof. You will not hear or feel trains rumbling by or any noise from the bus and car traffic from in front of the hotel. The rooms have cathedral ceilings, not just high ceilings but vaulted ceilings, which I'm sure would have felt luxurious had we not been stuck in Room 214. The rooms also have high windows that give you a lot of ambient light and, I'm sure, great views from some of the rooms. Before being pointed to your room, you are brought to an amenity counter and allowed to take as many packets of luxury face washes, night creams and other cosmetics as you desire. A N'espresso machine and coffee capsules await you in your room. Once again, this is a wonderfully charming and modern hotel in a wonderfully charming and funky city. We plan to return to Onomichi when it is not so hot -- and stay in this hotel. But we'll ask for a larger room.

It is a retro with a fragrance of Showa. But very convenient location to go anywhere. The station is within walking distance, and the rapeway is also nearby, and the food shop is satisfactory. Onomichi Ramen was next door, but unfortunately Friday was a regular day. When I checked out the next day, I saw a line before the opening. It is a business hotel, so it is small, but I was happy because there was a shelf that was easy to use. Also, there is a free smartphone, and I think it is a very generous service for foreigners. There was a free parking lot in the first order and it was saved for morning sightseeing because it was left until 11:00 in the morning. The staff was light 々, but it was kind to press the button of the slow elevator or lend me an umbrella when I saw it, and it was surprisingly pleasant. I thought I would like to work hard because there is no such hotel in 々 now.

Stayed 4 nights in semi-double room. Room is located a couple minutes outside the train and bus station but we had a little trouble finding it since part of the facade was covered for renovation work. It is a grand, old-fashioned hotel but it is well-maintained and nice that the ”old” touches are still there (telephone in the bathroom, coasters for drink glasses). Positives: room was large and functional. I believe all the rooms that face the castle are even larger. There was plenty of space for our luggage and it was great to have a decent table as well as a desk space to work from. Wired internet and wifi worked well. We tried both the Japanese and the breakfast buffet - both delicious. As other reviews have noted, the French toast is especially scrumptious! Also nice that the breakfast lasts a little longer than in most hotels. Negatives: old-fashioned but most of Fukuyama seems from the same era. Housekeeping was generally excellent but on one day, our room hadn't been made up and it was already 3:30 pm. Overall, a great place to stay in Fukuyama.

This hotel offers so much more than a comfortable room. The complex includes a restaurant, bakery, cafe, shop and bike rental right on the water. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The room was small but had everything I needed. I was on the second floor facing the street but the room was quiet and private. Excellent in-room coffee and great linens. The bathroom is big(!) and complete with a shower and soaking tub. There are bikes set up on trainers for use by the guests and the hotel is minutes from the ferry for the start of the Shimanami Kaido. Onomichi U2 is a perfect mix of offerings in an ideal location.

　I finished work in Okayama and I never went to Onomichi, so I stayed here as a place to stay. A few minutes walk from the station along the sea road, I was in the evening, so I shopped at Onomichi Ramen and convenience stores and checked in. The lobby is half floor. I used the point, so I think it is reasonable to have breakfast at 6000 yen. WIFI was displayed when I launched a personal computer, but I borrowed it at the cable front and connected it. It was the second night, so the most helpful thing was that the coin laundry was in the rooftop room. Washing machine 200 yen dryer 100 yen 30 minutes. Relax in the room and go to bed early. The next day, breakfast buffet, rice and miso soup are carried. I think it's okay with Japanese and Western side dishes. I left my luggage and went to Senko Ji Temple in the city or in the morning. I got a map at the tourist information office and asked for my luggage at the hotel, but I kept it with an exchange card. City swirl, eat lunch, pick up luggage again at the hotel, above all, it is easy to be close to the station. Others write, but the hotel building itself is old but clean and I think it is good because there are necessary amenities.

２ Use twin room in ３ days. The bathroom was divided by glass and the bathroom was a wide 々 with a washroom on the bus. The parking lot is tower parking, but the staff here was polite and very impressive. If you visit by car, you can use it well because it is the first staff to contact you. I was able to go to Onomichi for a trip this time. I was taken care of here because it was close to the station, but I was able to stay slowly.
