"We have had a great stay at Onomichi Royal hotel. The hotel has clearly just been renovated - everything is super new and in a great state. We've had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel, which has been delicious. We used the hotel as the start and end point of our 2-day Shimanami Kaido cycling tour. It being only a 15-minute walk from the train station, the location was very practical for us. They were kind enough to store our luggage during our cycling tour. We were really impressed with the hospitality and quality of our stay."

"Above the train station, would not have known trains were going by. Room was a bit small with a stair case occupying part of its footprint. Restaurant and bar was closed during our stay which was a little surprising. Friendly staff who tried to help us make a restaurant reservation."

"Everything was great. The hostel is right next to the station, literally a couple of minutes away. There's also a bike rental nearby for the Shimanami Kaido. Another big plus was that they agreed to store my large backpack for a day while I stayed overnight on an island, and then I returned to the hostel for another night."

"Good location, less than 1km from Onomichi Station. For those arriving by Shinkansen, the hotel is about 4km from Shin-Onomichi Station. Excellent Japanese breakfast. Only downside: the bed is a bit small."

"The hotel is better than expected. I stayed with my child and they had bunk beds, so the luggage could be spread out fairly easily. There was a laundry service at the front desk at the hot spring hotel, which was pretty good!"
