"The counter clerk speaks fluent English, the room is decorated in traditional Japanese style and the view is very beautiful. Although there is space for suitcases in the room, considering the distance up the mountain, it is recommended to lock the luggage at the JR station and carry a backpack up the mountain. On the downside, there are only two shared shower rooms, so you may need to wait in line, the quilts and mattresses are a little dusty, and the room has poor sound insulation, which are all problems of old Japanese-style buildings. But the price is very high for the scenery, it is worth experiencing for one night"

Because it was a cold day, the hot water felt hot and warm But there were several short shower hoses and tall, so I couldn't hang them from my head unless I squatted down. and if the air conditioner is small for the room or heating It was a little chilly. Natural Hot Spring Onomichi Minato Kan
"This is a small hotel on the outskirts of the shopping district. It's about a 10-minute walk from Onomichi Station, and there's an arcade in the shopping district so you won't get wet in the rain. The ropeway station is also about a 5-minute walk away, so it's a great base for sightseeing, like strolling along Neko no Hosomichi. There was a massage machine in the room, which was great for my tired body after walking. The room was small and clean, and in addition to the hot spring, the large communal bath also had a dry sauna and cold bath. There was a shampoo bar near the front desk, so women in particular could enjoy choosing their favorite shampoo scent. It's open until 8pm, but the cafe space has a nice service where you can enjoy drinks and ice cream. Reservations are required, but breakfast is recommended. The white curry was delicious."

"We had a lovely stay at Soil Setoda after riding bikes on the Shimanami Kaido from Onomichi. I think the bike ride between the two was about 35km, and in the heat of summer, that was enough! We had beautiful view from our room on the water's edge, and the room itself was good looking and comfortable. We had 35 degree celsius days for the three weeks we spent in Japan. We learnt good air conditioning from the bad. This one was good! The other really lovely aspect is the amazing food served. We had the short course dinner and then breakfast the next morning in the downstairs restaurant/cafe. Both were superb. I also think it was the best coffee in our three week trip! "

"Since it's located in the Onomichi shopping district, rain wasn't a problem. The entrance was stylish and didn't look like a hotel. There's no elevator, so you have to go up the stairs, but it was convenient as I left my luggage there before checking in and went sightseeing. The room was stylish and had a projector, which was fun. My friend said it was "relaxing." I'm glad I made that choice. I was surprised that it included all-you-can-eat ice cream and souvenirs. I'd like to use it again next time."
