Best Hotels near National Archaeological Museum Aruba, Oranjestad

We stayed in the adults-only part of the resort. We found this part of the hotel to be a bit soulless but there was nothing wrong with it - probably more us than them! The drinks in the all-inclusive were a bit 'meh' but the food was very good - especially the steakhouse. We originally had an outside marina view room but had to ask to move as it was very noisy from the road and the bars on the marina. The real gem of this hotel is the private island - it is beyond relaxing! Getting on the boat each day is novel and as soon as you set foot on the island you can feel the relaxation wash over you! We hired a cabana for one of the days which was fun - was it worth the cost - no but we are glad we did it. All in all a nice hotel but we would probably not go back.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests had an unforgettable stay. Whether I needed recommendations for local dining or help booking excursions, the staff was always available and eager to assist. In summary, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable vacation in Aruba. It was definitely an excellent choice when my husband made the reservation at this hotel. The Hilton has the best beach on Palm Beach by far! We’ve been coming to Aruba for 15 years but missed two years due to the pandemic. It was GREAT to be back. We were so pleased to see so many familiar faces from our past visits, it truly is like returning home. We eat lunch everyday at Gilligans, the view is amazing and all the servers are outstanding. Liliana, Maria, Norma and Rosemary are a few of the best and this year Carlos gave us great service on an unusual but exceptionally rainy day! The food is quite good, a bit pricey but considering the prices in the US have increased quite a bit during COVID these prices seem to have remained about the same. The burger is still the best on the beach, but this year we tried both the wings and the grouper tacos and wow, both are amazing!!! We could easily rotate these three offerings everyday. The palapa system seems to be the one area that has seen the most changes over the years. Very few are offered free at 4:00 the day before anymore so this year we bit the bullet and reserved one for everyday. It was worth it! As Hilton Diamond Members we were received a continental breakfast everyday and it was more than adequate. An upgrade is available for an $8.00 charge which is a great deal, but there are so many offerings with the CB plan that we were both quite satisfied with that. However, we did upgrade on the last day since we’d be heading to the airport. It was so great to be back to the white sandy beaches, crystal blue water and the Hilton that we are already looking forward to our return visit next year!!!

Suitable for business trips, the hotel closest to the airport

Very nice place that I would return to but the water supply to the shower in our room stopped for over 24 hours. We asked for a new place to take a shower and the response was far too slow to allow for showering prior to leaving for the airport. Not pleasant after swimming in the ocean the day before. No offer of any sort to make up for the issue. The location was very good. If it weren't for the poor service, I would give the hotel a 4.5 / 5.0.
