Hi there We stayed in La Rotunda April past. Lawerence the owner met us on arrival from Alicante airport where we were picked up by Peter who seemingly helped out Lawrence with transfers to & from the Alicante Airport. Peter was friendly & very informative on our journey with him, Lawrence (our host) was welcoming & speedily showed us to our apartment which turned out to have a staircase which led to an outdoor terrace which offered great views of the surrounding area. We settled in very quickly & felt facilities in our apartment were adequate for our use. Reception was not always "manned"!. However, upon showing us our accomadation Lawrence gave me his private number which allowed contact with him if I needed him. We felt secure once we had a contact number & Lawrence immediately answered it any time I felt the need to call him. La Rotunda is near the " *****" but our last call of the night was always The Leprechaun Bar just around the corner from La Rotunda, it is run by a friendly English man called (John), also a "shout-out"to the young efficient man from Cork that worked there. There was brilliant singer on the Sunday afternoon that we called. As it was April, the area was quiet with some bars/ restaurants not yet opened. Cabo Roig was "washed out" with rain in March of this year & prep for the holiday season was obviously delayed because of such unexpected weather, the pool @ Rotunda was not in operation while we were there & that was disappointing but the water @ Cabo Roig beach was a beautiful warm sea-green. We did the "coast walk" which was supposed to be a 20mn.walk from Playa Calletta to Playa Zenia but after walking 40mns encouraged by the beautiful vistas we reached Calle Captain, a beautiful family beach where there was " live music" & that is where we spent our evening When we tried to book a taxi @ the restaurant on Playa Captain, we were left waiting over 20mns & finally had to walk back the coastal walk to Calle Calletta which is not far from La Rotunda Apartments. We never ate in La Rotunda as we didn't know if the restaurant beside it was theirs. Food wise on the *****, we found the " Aberdeen Angus" to out taste, a bit pricey but not great choice of good restaurants in early April, missed out on Mama Mia at top of ***** as we didn't walk up that far, next time p.g as I love Italian food. We never got to La Zenia ⛱ on this occasion. We hope to return soon to Cabo Roig/ La Zenia & " pick up" on the " cosy friendly atmosphere" that we found there. Happy Holidays everyone
