The hotel is a number of years old, but still looks and feels brand new. You can tell that there is strong leadership in place, because the staff is on their game. Crystal in the breakfast area was a shining example of a person doing her best work. Beyond the buffet and seating areas being constantly cleaned and tidied, there were a lot of little extra thoughtful items available for consumption. She was very attentive, and this is my favorite part; we are late risers. We started our breakfast just a bit before the end of its availability. We were not rushed, and Crystal even waited a ways past the end time to slowly and quietly begin putting food away... with a warm smile and a 'no rush' attitude. It just made us want to come back all the more. We also enjoyed Paul at the front desk a time or two. We had good conversation with someone who was warm, friendly, and on top of the details. He answered our questions with extra thoughtfulness, and took extra steps to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Other staff who we came into contact with were friendly, and appeared to be hard workers. Nice job Fairfield! Also of note. This hotel is near a regional police center. Talk about feeling safe! I'd drive out of my way to stay here again.
