Second year staying in the villas for holiday matsuri and it was worth it once again! Villa staff always going above and beyond for everyone!

Based on all the positive reviews and pics, I booked my stay at the Marriott Royal Palms via ******* last year. Proms and cons Pros - convenient to Disney, outside property is clean and well kept, free parking, good recreation service, great amount of household supplies. No need for housekeeping to enter the room unless you need something. Cons - requested a room NOT on ground level, reception unable to accommodate due to max capacity. I was put in room 4456 which was on the far end of the property. Long walk to reception. When I opened the front door I was hit with a musty odor. It was just terrible. My teenage boys immediately started sneezing and I had to put them on allergy meds. Glass windows and sliding doors are thin and you can hear all outside noise clearly. Bedroom glass ceiling to floor window have draft. The bathrooms are dated and needs new caulking. The jet bathtub inside of master bedroom (literally in the bedroom) is an eye sore and hard to clean. With so many choices in Orlando, I will not be returning.

I couldn’t be happier with my choice. In this lively and busy area, I found a peaceful spot. The two bedroom suite was perfect. Even for a solo traveler like me. I enjoyed making my coffee in the morning, drinking it on the balcony with a wonderful view of the golf course and the relaxing noise of the fountains. Everything was top-notch, there is nothing I can complain about. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth and I was not bothered by any MVC sales pitches. I checked in late at 8:30 in the evening that might have been the reason. Once, I walked to the Marriott World Center when the shuttle drove by. The driver stopped and asked me if I wanted to jump on, so nice. I spent exactly 5 minutes at the noisy and busy Marriott, and walked back to my balcony to grab a glass of wine and enjoy the peace. I only have high praise for the Royal Palms
