Much better than 1st time. Hotel is under remodel.. They just finished their pool and it looks great.. They're working on the roof. The rooms still need some work. But they are coming a long way. Price is right. There is a deposit which is I believe $50. You do get it back and roughly about 7 to 10 days depending on your credit card. It is not pet friendly unless you have a service dog. Hotel is right before the Orlando health Doctor Phillips. Rooms come with a microwave and a Mini refrigerator. They do serve a breakfast that you must eat out front. You cannot take it back to your room. All their handicapped rooms or on the 1st floor.

Excellent if you are on a budget better than Rosin Inn which is brits tend to go the room worked out at £45 per night for a family of four plus you get free buffet breakfast food nice hot and cold food and hot and cold drinks fruit and yogurts scrambled eggs bacon everything is their no parking fee we didn’t pay a resort fee either staff lovlely twice my son put an egg in the microwave and it exploded they never complained room spotless free shuttles to both Disney and universal

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? A great family-friendly resort hotel. It is a two-bedroom, two-living, two-bathroom apartment. The rooms are spacious and bright, equipped with washing machines, dryers, induction cookers, dishwashers, and refrigerators. It is very convenient. The hotel has four swimming pools, three gyms, and outdoor barbecues. There is a Herz car rental location in the hotel, which is very convenient

We arrived at the hotel around 9:30pm after a long day of traveling. We specifically picked this hotel because it advertised an on-site restaurant. Sadly, “restaurant” was an overstatement. There was no one at the bar, but a printed menu listing 5 options, all bar food (burgers, chicken tenders, hot wings or pizza). We ordered burgers and were told that they were not selling burgers tonight. So, We ordered chicken strips and tried to order a cocktail. The bar tender had no knowledge of common cocktails and when I asked what he COULD make, he pointed to the bar to show me what liqueurs he had in stock. We asked what sodas he had, and he just pointed to the snack bar across the lobby with bottled beverages. He brought our food out, and the chicken was over cooked and the fries soggy and undercooked. We decided we were too frustrated to sit down in the “restaurant” to eat our meal, so I gave him my card to pay for our meal. He took it over to the front desk to run the card and then spent several minutes fumbling about b/c the receipt did not print. I told him not to bother, that I did not need a receipt.

This is a nice hotel. It’s new, it’s fresh and modern. It is on the top floors of the Truist building. As others stated, the elevator can be slow at times, so be mindful of that and be patient. The noise from the highway wasn’t too bad, but there is a train that runs right next to the hotel. If you are a light sleeper, this could be problematic. BUT, they give you earplugs. The Sky Bar seems to be the highlight of the hotel. There are lots of non hotel guests visiting the Sky Bar to enjoy the view and cocktails. Although the Sky Bar is a nice vibe, the servers (in the lounge areas) were not attentive at all! I sat outside on the terrace for at least 45 minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. I had to actually flag over a server once I saw that she served a few others who had arrived after I sat down. This happened again the second time that I visited the Sky Bar (sitting in the lounge area). There were not a lot of people there during the day, so they clearly saw me sitting! Seriously…? On a positive note, I later sat at the “interior” bar and Nate, was a joy! He was super attentive, and ensured that my time spent at the bar was special.

• We wanted a hotel that would suffice for a one night stay before heading to the airport after our universal Orlando vacation. They do have a shuttle to universal studios, but I did not inquire about the times because we would not be using it. This is because we stayed at the royal pacific to get the express passes, which are good for the duration of your stay as well as your check in and check out date. Since the royal pacific hotel is on the pricy side, on our last day we checked out of the royal pacific and checked into this Fairfield Marriott to save some money on our last night and since it is very close to universal studios. The front desk employee was extremely friendly and helpful. The only weird thing to me is that when they go to charge the deposit, for some reason it alerts your credit card as a fraud charge and you have to respond to the text message that it is not a fraud in order for the deposit to get charged. She says this happens “every time”. I think it’s a little weird that whatever way they use to charge deposits triggers a fraud alert on everyone’s credit card “every time”. I am a marriot bonvoy member and I have never experienced this before at any other hotels. Nevertheless, the charges went through correctly, and I was charged the right amount at the end of the stay. We reserved two rooms and we were put next to each other which was nice (although not connecting rooms, which is fine because we didn’t really need it or request it). The rooms are very spacious, tons of room everywhere. You can tell the hotel has had its fair share of wear and tear, but it didn’t feel low quality. They have breakfast in the lobby in the morning. It is mostly a continental breakfast with the exception of premade omelets. So if you don’t like omelets, your choices are limited. However if you do like omelets you are in luck because the omelets were really good. There are other things like muffins, bagels, bread/toast, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. Be sure to get the passion orange guava juice from the machine because it’s so good. Because it was so good it ran out during breakfast and it took quite a while for it to be refilled. It was an adequate breakfast before we had to head to the airport. Overall I would recommend this hotel as you get a pretty good bang for your buck here with spacious rooms, included breakfast, friendly employees, and proximity to universal studios.

Everything was fine, only the air conditioning in the restaurant was very strong.
