It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Universal Studios. It is uphill. The front desk does not speak Chinese. I stayed in 4 hotels for 6 nights in Japan and the service was relatively indifferent. It happened to be a holiday in Japan. The room cost 1300 a night and was only used for sleeping. It still feels a little wasteful and overall average.

Great experience. Good service and rooms are very clean. 10 mins walking distance to USJ.
They helped us to keep our luggages after checkout so we could go to USJ. Picked up the luggage after.
