Sonder Arlo

Clean, great location. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. On site parking would be nice. Sonder has another location 2 blocks away with underground parking which we were able to use for $25/day. A little inconvenient but no big deal. Only a 5 minute walk. Kitchenette was great and bed was very comfortable. Early check-in was available but only by paying an extra fee even though the room was ready to be occupied which was a bit of a turnoff and the only way to deal with this was through the app. They had storage lockers in the basement intended to store luggage before check in time if needed however the lockers were all in use so we really had no other option but to pay the early check in fee. $30 cost allowed us to check in one hour earlier. Check in instructions are supposed to be emailed 72 hours before checking in however I didn’t receive it and had to call the morning of check-in to have it sent to me. Aside from the few things it is a great place to stay in Ottawa!

Staff was excellent. Very helpful and accommodating.

Loved the appartement, beautiful design, comfy for the little family, they provided a crib for the baby, great chat service, overall a good experience. The only negative is the noise from all the buses driving by and the air conditioning..

Confusing because there are two Sonders nearby each other.. very helpful staff! Fire alarm going off in unit near us then a real fire alarm at 11:30 pm one night. Very noisy near the bus routes.

This was the perfect stay! The full kitchen and dishwasher were definite game changers. The balcony was lovely to have as well. The street it’s on is very busy and loud, but as long as that doesn’t bother you, I definitely recommend staying here. The self check-in and check-out were super simple as well.

The Arlo is within walkable distance to most of the tourist attractions of downtown Ottawa. Our room was very spacious for two person with a good layout. A decent size closet with sufficient hangers, yay. The only drawback was there is no parking on site. We parked at Sonder Rideau which is only a few minutes walk away and allow for in-and-out.

Left 5 days early and recieved no credit.

I’m very appreciative of how quiet it is in this hotel, even though it is downtown! The space is great and I appreciate the cleanliness, contemporary design and meeting space. I’ve stayed at other Sonder properties - it’s always a great experience!
