The Business Inn

The hotel is old but the bathroom has been refurbished with new amenities and is great now. There are also enough usb connections for mobile devices on the bedroom. Location wise, it is very central and within walking distance to attractions and food. The kitchen has everything needed to cook a meal. And there is free self-service laundry available. A huge surprise for me.

Best hotel ever in ottawa. Everyone is so friendly. Good facilities and clean rooms.

The location has some certain distance to subway stations, but it only matters if you arrive to or depart from the hotel using transit, as you might need to walk for around 10 minutes in order to get to the hotel. However, most of the attractions (Parliament, ByWard market) are within walkable distance (less than 20 minutes) so it is not a problem for me. The room is extremely spacious with even a kitchen and a printer for this price point, and the room is clean. However, the shower blinds have some gaps which seeps water to the floor wet while showering… The staff is really nice and friendly, and the free breakfast that comes with the room is good enough (I like the sausage and the egg bites). The laundry is 24/7 and comes with complimentary laundry sheets and powder, which is a big plus. However, do note that there is a certain chance that you’ll be assigned to a first floor room, which is essentially the ground floor… One of the entrance (the one next to the parking lot) for ground floor rooms can look a little bit sketchy at night. Since my room is also next to Elgin street where people go to the pubs at night, it can get a little bit noisy, but the bed is far away from the window so it sort of cancelled the disadvantage. It would be better if the front desk asked if a ground floor room was OK before giving the room cards.

Excellent stay. We had an issue which front desk worked hard to sort for us. Facilities excellent. Location central. Good selection for breakfast but too many guests for space. A really good place to stay for Ottawa and good value

My experience at the Business Inn was brilliant. Smooth check in and no issues at all, staff at the front desk were all wonderful: patient, kind, knowledgeable. Constantly welcoming me back to the hotel! Something small that I appreciate. The room was wonderful, all the appliances worked brilliantly, and I was honestly astounded by the amount of space for the price! Very good value. Furthermore, the room cleanliness was perfect, I had no concerns and always felt good coming home. Loved the location, lots of action and good feelings in the neighborhood. I truly could not be happier with my experience. Thank you very much!
