Needs more cleanliness for bedding & hot water availability for shower and more ventilation.

We didn’t even finish checking in to the property. Our first impression of the space was not at all like the photos. The room was extremely disappointing, the bed was blocking a fire exit, the shower was installed over a window, there was garbage in the mini fridge that was covered in flies. We opted to leave immediately. As we were leaving, the woman who checked us in just said “ok, bye!”. Very disappointed.

The shared bathroom is horrible the just half of the double toilet cover in the bathroom the other half is missing Not often cleaned, smelly and many flies. The room had insuficient lighting but there is a fool smell sticking in the rug or coming from somewhere else for a long time. Even had to ask to get a room spray to mask the odor. 1 or 2 more amenities like a few more clothes hanger could be added The owners are honest but can be insistant for you to use their POS machine If you have the choice, pay only by Etransfer, online or cash. As customer you should be able to have the option to choose. It created a whole issue which affected my trip's budget in the city, but it finally got resolved and the transaction was cancelled

The room with 2 beds & shower was clean, but needed some tlc. Good shower, but doors not attached properly & broken tiles on the floor. Nice owner and safe area in a great position. Could be a little gem 🌿

I booked this place and it was canceled without my knowledge. My sister got to Ottawa from Toronto and was stranded. Have never had this kind of experience before. Every hotel around was booked. Left an 18 year old stranded. I really can’t fantom this kind of experience.

The owner was very pleasant and helpful.

I specify that I didn't stay in this place because I checked out 10 minutes after checking in. When I first arrived the area and the people around the house gave me a weird vibe but I still went inside. The guy that checked me in wasn't rude, however he didn't seem very professional. He and another lady were discussing about a person owing them money as if I wasn't there. The guy then told me that they thought I wasn't coming (it was 2 in the afternoon) so they didn't have my room ready and gave me a room on ground floor, in front of the reception that a few moments before was occupied by the cleaning lady. It was small and dirty, they didn't even make the effort of making the bed to look like no one was just there. The smell was terrible and the window - which was broken - was directly on a very unsafe street. The guesthouse in general looked dirty and felt really sketchy and shady. I asked to check out and to get a refund but they refused. I called the owner; she was kind but again declined to refund me. I then asked ******* for a refund and they agreed and called the place for me because in the meantime I had to book something new. I don't understand how a place like rhis can be on a major hotel provider!!
