First impressions of De Denne were excellent, the setting is beautiful, and our room (and our friends' room next door) each had a seating area outside and overlooked one of the pools. The sunset and then the stars were stunning. We had dinner at De Denne on our first night which was very good. Reasonably priced and very good service. Our first breakfast was good ... a small buffet selection was set up, and we were also able to order cooked food from the breakfast menu. However, on our second morning, we went in to breakfast and sat down. I asked the lady helping us if I could order from the cooked menu, as we all had the previous day, and was simply told 'No'. I was directed towards the buffet food and told that was what was available that day. There were no bowls for the cereal or yogurt so I asked for a bowl, and was handed one a few minutes later by the same lady who didn't even look at me when she handed it over. A little while later she then offered me the menu to order some cooked food, but I declined as I had already eaten something else by then. The lady then asked me 'If I was really okay or just saying that'. To be honest this spoilt the stay a little as I felt I was an inconvenience ... and I am sure this is not how you would want guests to feel.

Perfect Place to come down from any Stress! See Meerkatz Adventure in the early Morning with sunrise and Chandelier to feed Sheila the giraffe! Go to the caves or just enjoy the perfect a**oshere on the property.

We booked the guest house for one night because we read the good reviews and also liked the website very much, it promised a luxurious and very nice stay. We really enjoyed the dinner (ostrich steak) on the terrace with a great view of the farm and the mountains behind it. Unfortunately, there is a clear maintenance backlog in many areas. Many things urgently need to be done here. Especially in the pool area (partly broken sun lounger). Also our room needs a new refurbishment (furniture etc.). And here we are not talking about getting rid of antique things. The garden also looked a bit careless and neglected.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise nach Wilderness für eine Nacht hier. Das Haus sprach uns an, weil die Bewertung sehr gut waren und auch die Webseite sehr schön war. Viele tolle Bilder! Allerdings wurden wir dann doch etwas enttäuscht. Insbesondere ist hier sehr vieles in die Jahre gekommen. Das Mobiliar ist teilweise sehr alt und auch teilweise kaputt. Auch wirkte der Garten, der tollen Baumbestand hat, etwas verwahrlost und ungepflegt. Und unser Zimmer war jetzt auch nicht sehr sauber. Positiv war das Abendessen auf der Terrasse mit tollem Blick auf die Farm und die Berge. Sowohl der Service als auch das Essen war sehr gut.

This is the second time we stayed over at De Denne Guest House - and again, it was just a pleasure! The pool and lawn were a welcome resting place in the heat and the long drive. As always, the staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful where ever they can be. Dinner was a wonderful experience, especially the ostrich meat. The rooms were so inviting, huge and filled with great detail. We had the lights on during loadshedding and the wi-fi was great whilst we were there. Perhaps just one suggestion for the hot months - ceiling fans in the bedrooms, as the airflow into the rooms are not so great and keeping the air-con on during the night is not ideal. The breakfast was tasty and everything you may need and it already says a lot that this was our second stay here and we will most certainly come back any day again! Keep it up and well done!

Very nice accommodation, we had a really big room with a bathtub. The guest house is roughly 5 min away from the main road, the road to the guest house is not the best but you can drive it with a normal car. A restaurant is near by the guesthouse.

Fantastic! A really beautiful and luxurious place to stay! Also lovely people and the best Ostrich steak.very good and personal tour in the farm. One of the best so far in 10+ good/luxury stays so far! Large rooms, nice shower, pool with view etc.

Mooie Guest House, vroegere struisvogel boerderij. Ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid. Diner in restaurant moet je wel op voorhand reserveren. Grote, mooie kamers gelegen aan een zwembad. Vriendelijk personeel en de wagen werd 's morgens gewassen.
