Le Petit Karoo ★★★★
"What an amazing way to celebrate my birthday! Magnificent views, stunning, immaculate rooms and fantastic service! The honeymoon suite is to die for! It has outstanding views and its own pool! Karen and Tracey are the new owners and have put their heart and soul into creating a magnificent experience for their guests. Great hospitality, accommodating and friendly people. It felt like home away from home. We will definitely be going back!"
Old Mill Lodge, Seasonal Working Ostrich Farm & Restaurant, Oudtshoorn ★★★★
"Accomodation, breakfast and resort in general is fantastic. One of the nicest ad best value for money places we have stayed, and we have stayed at PLENTY. Just a pity that it was only a one night stopover on a road trip with family visiting from overseas. They were very impressed by the experience and probably think it cost me a lot of money. Lol."
06 on Burger ★★★★
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge ★★★★
"Nice tented camp, nice restaurant, nice activities including game drives We spent there 2 days with the 2-days package. Recent huge rains unfortunately for them impacted some activities"

De Zeekoe Guest Farm
"We had a pleasant stay at De Zeekoe Guest House, nestled on a quiet and scenic farm just outside Oudtshoorn. The location is peaceful, with lovely views and a real sense of calm. The pool area is a highlight with lush green surroundings, plenty of loungers and towels, and a small but refreshing pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We also appreciated the free bikes, although they are a bit dated. A big plus was how helpful the team was in arranging local excursions they assisted us with bookings for the Cango Caves and the ostrich farm, which made planning easy and stress-free. A few points to note: dinner is only served between 6pm and 7:30pm and food had to be ordered before 5pm, which felt a bit restrictive. Breakfast was basic, with no fresh coffee and some items like honey and jam running out. In our room, the extractor fan grill needed cleaning, and unfortunately, we had no hot water for a morning shower. Overall, a nice setting and warm service, with a few small areas for improvement."
Earthbound Guest House
"Earthbound guest house was really amazing. Neat and clean, accommodating staff, lovely breakfasts and all round brilliant hospitality. We will definitely be back to enjoy being spoilt."
Oakdene Guest House
"Very nice hosts Beautiful, quiet property with a large garden, very good breakfast quiet and safe location"
Queens Hotel by Bon Hotels
"the staff are friendly and professional. the meals are excellent. my fillet was cooked to perfection. the bedrooms are comfortable, clean and well catered for. just the bartender spent time on his cellphone rather than check on his patrons' beverages. i had to wave for attention. but the wine was excellent."
Soetdoring Selfsorg
"Soetdoring (on De Zeekoe farm) was the first stayover we had for our honeymoon, and we were so impressed! We had such easy and effective communication with the owner, received a tranquil cabin with a beautiful big patio overlooking the farm dam and felt so at peace. The cabin is also equipt with everything and more (aircon, wifi, braai facilities, modern bathroom and a nice big bed with mosquito netting). The farm has ample wildlife and bird species to view (so bring your binoculars!) and to add icing to the cake, the farm even has an amazing restaurant just a few minutes away! What more do you want? "
Mooiplaas Guesthouse
"We had a great stay. Enjoyed the ostrich tour. Loved the dinner (delicious ostrich steaks) and the general setting. We stayed across the road at the Anex but all meals and activities were at the main lodge. Our car was washed - nice touch and woke to the smell of coffee brewing and was served a lovely coffee on my patio in the morning - such a treat. "
Rosenhof Boutique Hotel
"A great place to get away from it all. Fantastic rooms and lovely staff. Always have a smile for you and always happy to assist. The meals and breakfast are excellent."
HouseMartin Lodge & Self Catering
"We stayed at House Martin in de Rust for two days the last weekend of January with friends. Our hosts Jan and Theresa was fantastic and Jan prepared the most delicious breakfasts and dinners which was served by two friendly ladies. Our room with en-suite bathroom and aircon and a comfortable queen bed was perfect. At the pool area there was tables and chairs where we could sit till late night and enjoy the fresh Karoo air and silence. The two days felt like a long holiday. Thank you for everything - we will be back soon! Arnold and Karlien Bestbier"
De Akker Guest House Oudtshoorn
"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at your accommodation from the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The space was beautifully maintained, clean and thoughtfully prepared with all the little touches that made us feel welcome and at home!"
De Oude Meul Country Lodge & Restaurant
"Great location and close to the caves. Excellent accommodation with a great restaurant on the property. Would like to have stayed there for another night to explore the area. Hopefully we will return."
Kleinplaas
"Here we stayed in bungalows, which are quite comfortable. Large area with different types of bungalows and there is also a campsite. There is a small opportunity to buy drinks and a few snacks from the manager. To eat you have to take the bus/car, there are a few nice places in town. On the second evening we decided to have a BBQ here with the group and they were super nice and set everything up for us with dishes, tablecloths, barbecue utensils and bowls. That was super nice of the owners. Cool thing. We felt comfortable and everyone was excited."
Karoo Soul
"Quiet area, frozen territory. The room is not new but clean bedding and towels. Good water pressure in the shower. Own terrace. Responsive administrators"
Oasis Shanti Backpackers
Thylitshia Villa
Surval Boutique Olive Estate
"Nice views but this place caters for coach loads of people. The receptionist on arrival was not welcoming, the good was 2star buffet style and caters of masses. We stayed here a couple of years ago and there was such a personal touch but it’s lost its rating and should be a 2star. There are better places to stay unless you like cold begets for breakfast!"
