We were looking for a quiet restful place to stay while recovering from severe flu. This was the perfect place - beautiful surroundings immaculately kept, quiet and soothing for our needs but with pleasant family enjoyment for children and adults especially around the 3 immaculate swimming pools. It was a truly memorable stay even though we did not explore beyond the property. Staff attention was friendly and helpful at all levels and the food delicious, especially the outstanding breakfast.

Very well positioned for activities in Oudtshoorn close to the Cango Caves Ostrich farm (with a discount ticket from reception), Cango Caves and close enough to Oudtshoorn itself.

It was an excellent and pleasurable stay! Close to nature and peaceful. Facilities were good and clean and we had a good night's rest. Breakfast was excellent with a good spread of dishes. We will visit Oude Meul again.

We had a lovely time here! The accommodation and included breakfast was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved the jungle gym and seeing the young Ostriches. I would definitely recommend this for families.

Things have changed since I was last here , rooms are still good, they have upgraded their breakfast and the amount of choice is excellent,quality is good ,the grounds have been meticulously kept neat and tidy ,it’s a perfect place if you have kids to be free and play , such a treat to see the animals and wild animals that are close by,we really enjoyed our stay ,we were not affected by loadshedding-generator onsite

Eine schöne Lodge mit Rinder und Straußen 🥰 großes weitläufiges Gelände 😃 das ganze hat Hotelstandard😃 wir können es sehr gerne weiterempfehlen👌 ein sehr gutes Restaurant befindet sich ebenfalls auf dem Gelände der Lodge 👌

The property is really beautiful and spacious, with all sorts of animals to examine. The dinner in the restaurant was very tasty. Staff is friendly. One Star less: they have a huge breakfast buffet. I dont think thats necessary, the Quality suffers therefore. I rattert choose less but better quality. Anyway the cereal buffet is great.

Nice Guest house in a wonderfull area! Okay, we would not stay here for days at it is far away located from anything, but the Guest House is really wonderfull for a short time trip. Rooms are big enoph and clean. Furniture a bit older. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is premium!

Positives: great location. Beds comfortable and rooms spacious. Pleasant waitrons. Negatives: noisy fridge. Bed linen had a miffy smell, restaurant food expensive and the steak was inedible. Breakfast not worth R175 pp. Room 1, block A. Noisy due to compressor and people outside waiting for breakfast to open.
