The Bronte

2 streets away from Preston and Paignton sands. Landlady very pleasant. Cost very reasonable. Twin room very cramped. Mattresses need replacing. Weather hot room like sweatbox even though a fan was provided. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk in room. Small fridge and landlady will provide cold filtered water to fill bottles. Decent communal sitting room with large t.v. Breakfast room had large fridge and microwave, however there were some issues over cardboard boxes stored, may be fire hazard. Can't stress enough how nice landlady was and I am sorry property did not match up to my requirements.

Had a wonderful 7nts at "The Bronte" 2 mins walk to the beach approx 7 mins walk into main area of paighton, Gail was very friendly polite & helpful , we had a lovely rm ...rm 10 top floor, small fridge, & a fan which is brilliant on hot nights, absolutely amazing shower, the bed was very comfortable and quite a large, double.... the rm was a garden view so a very quiet room very clean cotton bedding, there is parking available, breakfast is also available at an extra cost but we like to get up a little later so wondered into the main area for breakfast, very enjoyable relaxing holiday I would highly recommend and also very reasonably priced.

The Bronte Guest House is in a quiet road a stone's throw from Preston Beach. My room was bright and nicely decorated and I slept very well. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. The breakfast was all cooked fresh and red hot as it should be. Gail is a friendly hostess and was very helpful. I would have given the rating as excellent except for one or two minor quibbles but I would still not hesitate in recommending the Bronte.

This really is a lovely guest house, Gail is so friendly, everything you need is provided, room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. 2 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to the pier and a few minutes walk to local shops. Very quiet area, free parking, what more could you need.........Very reasonable prices. Thank you.

Spent 3 nights here. Very comfortable and great base for exploring. Nice and quiet and room was very clean. Everyone was very friendly. Only had breakfast one morning but enjoyed. We did the steam train trip to Dar**outh (beautiful place) along with the paddle steam boat trip - really worth doing. Walked into Torquay and had lunch by the harbour. Would recommend.

Spent 5 days at The Bronte, Gail the manager was nice and friendly. We had a basic en-suite room which was a little cramped but did the job. Parking is free but limited however 50 ft away is a large public car park which charges 8£ per 24 hrs. Good location and would return again no problem

We stayed for 3 nights, room only at Bronte Guest House and didn’t encounter any problems. We needed a base and somewhere to sleep and it served that purpose very nicely. The twin room was spotless, with en-suite, tea/coffee making facilities and small fridge. The friendly host greeted us and showed us the guest lounge which she said we were welcome to use and also the dining room where she said we were welcome to eat preordered breakfast or even sit and eat takeaways if we wished. There was also a fridge freezer & microwave in the dining room that was available to us, We were supplied with a key to come and go as we pleased. If we required our room to be serviced we were to hang a notice on the door otherwise we’d be left alone. The property is in easy walking distance of Preston sands and the main area of Paignton. Would definitely recommend.
