"I thought the hotel was good value for money and the breakfast and staff were excellent. The room and corridors have very creaky floors and there is little sound proofing, it was also too hot for me but overall, it was a good stay."

Blue Waters Lodge

"Julia and Iain made us feel welcome from the second we stepped through the door. I have stayed at Blue Waters by myself as well as with my husband . This time was just myself and my 6 year old grand daughter . I feel comfortable enough to stay there with her as it feels like home . Nothing was to much trouble and they even had little person size cutlery at breakfast . We stayed in the smaller twin room , which was more than big enough . 2 single beds, wardrobe , chest of drawers , fridge with fresh milk and water . Kettle , biscuits ,various teas and coffee . Very comfortable and clean . It’s close enough to the sea front with out being on the main road with Paignton pier and beach 5 min walk away and bus and train station within walking distance . Julia and Iain are genuinely lovely people and I can’t recommend Blue Water enough. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else now . This place is much more than a B and B . To me , it’s home from home . My WiFi connected automatically from the last time I stayed which made me chuckle. Don’t waste your time looking at other places , once you’ve stayed here you won’t want to stay anywhere else"

"We recently stayed in this Hotel and really enjoyed our break. The Hotel is in a fantastic position with a view from our room looking over the sea. The Hotel is very clean and smart looking and you are also able to park in front of the Hotel. The Breakfast was excellent and very enjoyable. The reason it’s not a 5 star ( 4.5 really) is the small en-suite and sink. Not much room in the en-suite but the room was fine. So really a 4.5."

"A beautiful little B&B. Fantastic location. The welcome we had was friendly, informative and second to none! We were shown around and were very impressed. An honesty Bar! Loved the idea and was more impressed with the trust the hosts give their guests..wow!. We stayed in the room called pebbles, STUNNING and SPOTLESS! Im very fussy but the room was sooo clean for the first time i actually unpacked completely and used the full facilites. The shower was the best iv ever had (wanted to take it home haha) so powerful and always nice and hot. The room was so well decorated and modern and the bed was extremely comfortable. The TV was on a swivel bracket and had a built in DVD player. The hosts have book shelves in the hallways offering books and a very large DVD collection for their guests to borrow. The breakfast was 10/10!! The hosts mark and debbie was so friendly and welcoming and the rest of the staff were also 10/10! Nothing was to much trouble. I would highly recommend this place to stay and will most definately return. Wonderful stay xx"

"Second visit here since James and Christine took over. It's great. It's clean, well organised and really comfortable. Recommend James' breakfasts. It's nice to feel really well looked after, and it's great value. Also - 2 minutes from the lovely Preston Sands, slightly less busy than Paignton main seafront, and great for a paddle in the evening when the heat has gone!"

"A nice place to stay. Clean rooms, not very big but well kept. No breakfast served here but that suited us as it didn’t tie us to specific times and there were plenty of places to go for breakfast nearby. Convenient to train station , beach front and to the town. Only needed a clean place to stay for a long weekend and this served its purpose well. Very friendly and helpful proprietor."
