Singer House Beach Holiday Flats with Parking ,Opposite Paignton Pier ,English Riveria

Honestly I do not recommend this place at all. The entire experience scared me to the point where I had a nightmare about it. As soon as you walk in it’s like a child’s paradise, how this place is advertised for couples is actually beyond me. The room we were offered was tiny, Vernon said we weren’t welcome to stay on the Saturday, so we booked somewhere else and he’s refused to give us back the £160 we paid (even though he was flaunting that he’s a millionaire and doesn’t need anyone’s money). Just a really sketchy experience.

My wife and I arrived slightly early outside the accommodation, Vernon the owner heard us outside and came out to meet us. Explained that the flat was ready and we could check in. He also showed us around upstairs where there is a children's dance school. There is a kitchen up stairs that is open to 3 separated flats all with there own private garden and bathroom area. The room although not large was ample for our 2 day stay needs, and was also clean and comfortable. This is 5 minutes walk to the centre and 10 to the rail station. There is also ample on road parking. We would have no problem staying here again.

Vernon was the best host ever. Before we even parked the car he had my daughter up in the ballet school with 2 lovely girls brook and darcie. They found her a dress tights and ballet shoes and did her nails and makeup and Vernon gave her a ballet lesson. Later In the evening we popped back and again Vernon took time out from relaxing watching the football to get both my daughter and son( who was adamant he wasn't joining in) to do some ballet. My daughter loved Vernon and wished we could live there and my son came down to tell his dad that he had the best time and wanted to do it again. Apartment was great fully equipped for family's great range of films toys and outside enclosed play area. Vernon even offered us his kayak. What a fabulous place to stay and such a lovely host. Could not fault it. Close to seaside and all attractions

The house & location was lovely, our room was nice, comfortable and clean too, however I found the owner rather strange, intrusive and pushy. He traps you in conversation all about him and his famous friends or his 9 cars and bunch of houses. He has zero regard for your time or plans and will hold you back or delay you as he likes and then look at you funny when you start getting stern about it. Odd odd odd. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Stayed in self contained flat earlier this month. Kitchen facilities v basic - fridge and microwave. Vernon, proprietor, very helpful indeed and responded quickly to all queries. He couldn’t have done more for us and certainly went the extra mile for us on more than one occasion.
