Great location overlooking sea. Hotel a bit dated and run down, but very clean and tidy everywhere. Good breakfast. Only had bar snacks that were OK. Service from all staff was very good. Paignton itself is not a very nice place, but gives access to plenty of nice days out.

We only stayed for one night for my birthday and to meet up with family but we really loved this place. We were in room 104 which had a sea view and balcony. The reception staff were lovely and friendly and let us check in a bit early. The view was beautiful and it is just a short walk away from the harbour. Bar staff were great, breakfast staff were also great and the food was good value. We didn't have time to use the indoor pool but we had a quick look in the morning prior to leaving and I thought I would definitely use the pool if we visit again. I understand that plans are afoot to totally refurbish this place. I hope that the character and features inside are retained. It's such a welcoming, comfortable place (the beds are amazingly comfy) and the beauty and quirkiness of this lovely old building and the lay out and design inside is something that needs preserving. There are very few places left like this in the UK. We would love to return.

Outstanding, food cooked to order. Linen table cloths, proper waitress service. Spotlessly clean. A credit to all the staff there. Outstanding sea views, very chilled out place to stay. Didn't use the indoor pool facilities but I did hear a lot of people rave about the facilities. Old world charm, so.much nicer than modern hotels. It was an 'experience' that I won't forget in a hurry

Stayed here this wknd for few nights away for my wifes birthday. We arrived early and were going to park and go for a walk but our room was ready and we could check in early.. Booked a sea view room this time. Last time we stayed here we just had basic room & it overlooked a shabby storage area, so we loved the sea view and little balcony this time. The room itself was lovely. Beds very comfy had nice sleep. Only 2 small ******* which were nothing major. The tv is fixed at a 45 degree angle in the corner opposite the window and it was impossible to see anything uunless you crossed the curtains, and is also on the small side. Secondly the old floorboards are a nigh**are, everywhere you step in the room, as well as the entire corridor outside, it creaks & groans, its like being in an 18th century galleon.. The cooked breakfast was lovely, if a little meagre for me, but you can help yourself to plenty of the continental items. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If we visit the area again, we will definitely consider staying here again.

Another great stay at the Redcliffe. Great location with shops and restaurants within walking distance and good free car parking. All staff at the hotel friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you to make your stay enjoyable. They definitely go above and beyond.

Stayed in hotel Saturday night for what I’d hoped would be a relaxing and refreshing break. Key card to room wouldn’t work x 2 when checked in followed by unable to use the reprogrammed key card to access pool x 3. Add the antisocial behaviour of 3 individuals I did not feel relaxed at al! Good was however fantastic and staff were friendly. Sadly will not return
