. If the hotel daily charge is reduced by half, then it would be an OK choice. The marble interior is beautiful, with renovation and service this could be a 4-5 star hotel. Do trust the negative reviews. This hotel charges 5 star prices but is very poor value for money. Positive points 1. Location - Right on in the historic district. All the historic sites within walking distance. 2. Front Desk staff. Although the hotel has no services, and has so many deficiencies, the staff here do the best they can. 3. Good, but poorly renovated lobby. Negative Points 1. Run down. Needs renovation, old worn out lobby furniture. 2. NO services - No room service, No one to help with yo,ur bags, no security at the front (we had panhandlers in the lobby), no laundry collection (you have to take down the laundry to the front desk, prices are exorbitant).NO iron or ironing desk provided. If you want to iron anything, they ask you to take it down to the laundry room yourself. 3. No gift shop or coffee shop in the hotel. NO coffee machine in the room. Breakfast is available at extra charge. Pay for it for a coffee. 4. Small TV. No list of channels so it is hard to choose what you want to see. 5.. Tiny, small rooms, with small beds. 6. Shower enclosure too small, shampoo, conditioners of poor quality, their dispensers old, decrepit, hard to use. They get and remain clogged. The towels are worn out, poor quality. 7. Location can be very noisy if that is important to you. 8. The electric plugs in the rooms are old and many do not work. Few, and inconvenient locations. 9. In room tea, coffee of poor quality and stingily given. No coffee machine in the room 10. Room safe handles broken, not repaired or fixed. 11. Room keys of old, bulky types that have to be deposited at the front desk and retrieved everytime you come back. 12. INTERNET OF VERY POOR QUALITY, MANY BLIND SPOTS INSIDE ROOM, KEEPS LOGGING OFF, NOT SECURE.
