The Columbia hotel is classified 2 stars, but deserves 3 for its central and strategic location for visiting Palermo, excellent services and super friendly staff. The double room is large and has a private bathroom with courtesy set, with a beautiful view from the window. There is no elevator, but that wasn't a problem for us. Breakfast is complete with sweet and savory options and can be enjoyed until 10am. Around the hotel there are many places to eat at a good price. Overall, a great hotel. I would stay here again.

The location of the hotel is very central, on Booking they write that there is parking but in reality you have to go to the paid car parks and moreover to reach them you have to enter and exit the poorly signposted restricted traffic zones (risk of fines). Inhospitable and neglected room, blind bathroom WITHOUT aerator (reported immediately and never repaired), the half-broken air conditioner, with the mask in the balance that seems to fall on your head at any moment contributes to the feeling of neglect. I had booked 4 nights in bed & breakfast in this hotel and we had to find another hotel urgently after one night because it was impossible to stay there... No private parking as it is written in the advertisement, the The nearest car parks charge a fee (35€ per night). The surroundings of the hotel give us a feeling of insecurity (tags on the walls, full overflowing trash cans, trash around the hotel, broken glass around cars...) The window of our room overlooked a wall, the walls of the bathroom were moldy, the shower drain broken and sharp (you could get hurt), the toilet seat broken and not fixed, brown stains on the floor near the toilet... A little bit minimalist lunch which contained no choice, a dining room without light, dilapidated and dull rooms and corridors... In short, to avoid completely!
