My wife and I traveled to Aruba on May 3rd. We spent a week at the Ocean Club. We are timeshare owners there and have been to the OC at least 14 times in the past 16 years. This stay was no different to our many stays as it was exceptional. The room was absolutely comfortable with everything we needed to cook-in Breakfast and Lunch. The staff at the OC were always polite and respectful. Check-in was very smooth amidst the craziness of people wanting to change rooms etc. We've learned after our many stays that these rooms are all the same and views out of the windows is not that important. It was a wonderful week.

Had the most wonderful experience checking into our room today. Gabi met us with a welcoming smile. She was knowledgable, articulate and friendly. Gabi explained the treasures of the resort including the spa, pool and restaurants. Kudos to her manager Roza who met us as well to welcome me and my wife Karen (who is very demanding as her name implies lol) Rosa has created a culture of excellence that is admirable and should be recognized by the Marriott executive office.

Great spot very good location, right on the beach. It's a full service place with restaurants laundry and all the amenities of a hotel. Marriott other properties are all around it including the younger crowd with drift pool next door.I would recommend.

This used to be a nice place to come for families and people looking to have a relaxing experience in Aruba. Today, you cannot sit out on your deck or veranda in the evening due to the loud music coming from the Moomba Bar up the beach about a half a mile. That bar plays loud music, I called it boom boom music, until 1 to 2 o’clock in the morning. You cannot block the noise out if you are at the beachfront, even with your doors closed and a pillow over your head. My complaint about Marriott is they do not seem to care. They say there is nothing they can do. Well you would think a huge American corporation like Marriott would have some influence on the Aruban government to provide ordinances restricting noise after a certain time in the evening. Also, even during the day, it seems that the younger generations non-music has taken over resorts. All you hear is boom, boom boom. Does Marriott not realize that the majority of their customers are probably over 50 years old? Why are they catering to the younger generation with all of this non-music. This is all just so annoying to me when I’m paying so much money to come to this place and no one really cares. Aruba used to be a very nice island to visit for relaxing fun time. The motto used to be one happy island. Today they’ve changed some kind of crap and invites Yahoo’s from all over the world. Seems like the government of Aruba doesn’t care either. All they care about is money. Aruba has become a money trap just like everywhere else you would think you’re in Cancun or Tijuana when you’re in Aruba

Nice resort. The palapa situation is not easy--have to log on at 7 am and in one minute they're all gone. Not enough pool chairs in the shade. Otherwise, a lovely place. The rooms are up-dated, clean. Kitchens are decently stocked. We got a mid-week cleaning--which was appreciated. Most Marriott timeshare resorts don't offer this. No laundry in unit, but not an issue for us.

We've been coming to the Marriott properties in Aruba for the past 27 years. Always love the Ocean Club. This time, however, I want to give a big shout out to Louis, he of the bingo and Zuma fame. You couldn't help but love him. Professional and entertaining, he brought out the laughs for everyone. What a breath of fresh air!

Being an 3 week owner since 1995 (pre construction) our disappoin**ent with Marriott gets worse and worse. Charges for everything. Palapias, which Marriott claims they don’t own yet charge $25 to rent is ridiculous, they are super close and with the vendors renting beachfront chairs and umbrellas, there is no chance you can get ocean view. Eating at Malmok on the beach (great location) but bring ear plugs the loud, loud music is unbearable. I saw no one sitting for lunch enjoying this music, but the staff seemed to enjoy it. A $10.00 charge for a towel set in your room is ridiculous. No amenities in the room except for one bar of soap the size of a miniature Milky Way. Having just returned from our yearly trip, totally disappointed, I am trying to figure out, with all these extra charges where is my hefty maintenance fees going?? Maybe Marriott uses the fees to hire experts to implement new “points programs” aimed to benefit Marriott and not owners of these units.

Rarely are our expectations exceeded. They were during our visit. We had three units for our big family. They were large, clean and comfortable. The vibe was relaxed and the staff courteous and helpful. This was exactly what it said it would be. Nice beach. Easy access to everything. Very nice. Is this a super fancy place? It is not. But it was not trying to be. For anyone thinking of a relaxed stay, a good place to stay, I would recommend this resort.

We booked a night at this resort so that we could have resort privileges coming from a cruise ship. We were in port in Aruba from 8am-10:30pm, and booking a single night here for our travel party of 6 was far less expensive than a cruise excursion. And boy were we right. We arrived to the resort at 9:30am and were a little nervous because we knew check-in wasn't until 4pm. ChiChi was working the front desk, and the guest in front of us was throwing a fit... We watched her handle him with such grace, and then as we approached the desk, she quickly shook off the horrible encounter with him and greeted us with a warm smile and welcome. And that was only the beginning of how she blew us away. She was able to work her magic and get us a room that was ready, helped us navigate the enormous property, and made sure we would have no issues with checkout since we would be on a ship and not at the hotel. She was delightful with my small children, and made sure we had everything we needed and beyond. An exceptional check-in experience, which set the tone for a fantastic day. The property itself is really lovely. Very well maintained, and we did our homework in choosing between this property, the MVC next door and the Stellaris, this definitely had the best pool. Beach access was also super easy. We dined on site and had a decent pool-side meal. Nothing that knocked our socks off, but definitely quality. We also witnessed a medical emergency for a young guest, and the staff was fanstastic in their expedient and professional response. Overall, we decided coming to this resort is probably our next choice rather than another cruise, and we can't wait to return! We just hope ChiChi is there to greet us upon our arrival!
