Staff, breakfast, pools and grounds were lovely.
The room was a major let down and expensive for what we got, an Ocean Spa room with a dirty spa and balcony, hardly an ocean more a view of a dirty marquee top.
There was sand or something rough in the bed when we slept when we first go in.
The bathroom light lit up the whole room so could not be used during the night and there are no block out blinds available only venetian shutters that were set at one angle.
We were staying for a special occasion and this was quite a let down.
When i mentioned my concerns at check out, I was just told to write a review, seems like a strange way to keep guests returning by inviting poor reviews.

We had a great time at Peppers. Our stay was very relaxing. We really liked the hotel's architecture and greenery, and received excellent customer service from everyone we dealt with. Special shout out to to Trent at the front desk. There are several buildings and only a couple have lifts, so do mention it as a special request if you struggle with stairs.

Great holiday destination in every facet. Couldn’t fault anything. Rooms. Facilities pools staff. Only knock would be internet that was scratchy at various parts of the resort and in rooms we stayed in the penthouse but then relocated to a suite room and it was a perfect spot both times.

Very well located but the service is just ok - not helpful and not flexible with rules, even when can flexible to give a very good service without create any problem for the hotel.
Parking, not easy to find the hotel garage.

Unfortunately this hotel really is for families with young children. There was only one pool operating which was not disclosed on *******’s website when booking and for the price paid for accommodation was unacceptable. It was like swimming at the zoo at times which wasn’t enjoyable or relaxing. There also seemed to be limited staff although very helpful, and the Buffett was ordinary to say the least especially in a hotel of this calibre

We had an outstanding welcome from front staff on my first night every person we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with champaign, cheeseboard and the works upon arrival to our room thanks to Harry we cant thank you enough. We also want to give thanks and applaud Clarissa she was very attentive from the moment we walked into La Mesa for dinner each night and also the pool bar we felt very at home being in this beautiful location. Please pass on our thank you, and she deserves a pay raise. Steph and Etu

Best highlight of the hotel was the pool area, only negative issue was the aged ordinary spa pool, good variety at the breakfast and staff was very helpful. The building was slightly aged and the stairwell was dirty and needed a few coats of paints.. Gardens were very impressive

The front desk staff were the best! Very kindly left sparkling wine in our room to celebrate a 30th aswell. The 3 pools were all great- best to go in the mornings before it gets busy. The rooms stayed cool in the heat! Bit disappointed in the view from our “ocean view room” as not what was advertised- although as it literally faced the ocean I did not make a complaint.

The facilities themselves are great! However the rooms were underwhelming for a 5 star hotel. We had to ask reception 3 times to send up some bath robes. On our first night of stay, there was heavy rain and there was a leak in to our room. The solution was at 9:10 to move us from the penthouse spa in to the room below. The room below had a smaller older TV, the fan was making a weird noise when turned on. The next day I spoke with the manager who exclaimed that peppers pride themselves on customer satisfaction. The next 4 hours we spend going back and forth over multiple phone calls where the buffet breakfast was offered as compensation. We had breakfast plans and then a 10% refund for that day was offered, equating to $37. Very underwhelming and disappointing. We cam to the conclusion of removing our bar tab of $74 which meant was around a 20% deduction for a singular stay. This was not a fair compensation and we will be writing a Google and Facebook review and recommending that people do not stay here.
