The guy who greeted us upon arrival was n Friday the 5th April was lovely (I’m so sorry I didn’t get his name). He was so friendly, provided us with a map and even let us know the best day to go to the castle was a Sunday as it was free to get in. How nice was that? As it was our silver wedding anniversary, there was a bottle of cava with a nice note from the staff which was lovely touch. Our room was very clean and our balcony overlooked the internal courtyard. The shower was really powerful and the beds comfortable. There was also a fridge. The only thing we’d have liked would have been tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was outstanding and really set us up for the day. The choice was fabulous - fruit, cereals, various juices, jams & honey, cold meats & cheeses, yoghurts, lots of different breads & pastries, hot cooked items and an egg station for omelettes/fried eggs etc. Pool area on the roof is nice and has lovely views over the marina. As does the breakfast area. We booked this hotel as it’s our first visit to Palma and the location seemed perfect for the castle, cathedral and walking into town. And it was, a nice 10 minute stroll brought us to lots of places to eat and drink. ** A word of warning if you are due to in the next couple of months; there are ongoing roadworks right along the front outside the hotel. It is noisy from around 7am, however not the hotels fault and they will be finished eventually but are planned to continue for a while yet. If you can, ask for one of their quieter rooms. Ours overlooking the courtyard wasn’t too bad (and I always bring earplugs anyway) but our friends room was on the side and was very noisy both with road noise and from bikes/people going past as it’s a shortcut to the next street behind.
