The hotel was pretty basic, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The area around it was safe to walk around, and there were plenty of places to explore.
Unfortunately, there was a late-night party at the hotel, and the music was so loud that it even reached our room on the third floor. It made it hard to sleep, but we managed to get through the night.

El Hotel llena las condiciones necesarias para una buena estancia. Nos hicieron un buen precio, por lo que quede complacido. Los días en que estuvimos muy complacidos. El único punto negativo fue la cafetería . Los meseros muy bien nada que decir, sin embargo de pronto los desayunos incluidos ya no incluían jugos, de pronto al café ya no se le podía agregar leche. Pequeños detalles que hacen la diferencia. Creo que tiene que ver más con la persona encargada de la cocina. En fin por lo demás una estancia agradable.

On corner busy main thoroughfare to Lake. Rooms large. Shower cold. One tap but no hot water. No towel racks. No where to put or hang clothes. Water bottle refills available. Restaurante attached. There is a reception. TV with English channels. Cable. No Netflix. Hmm I think there are more options available to you. There are two ATM in reception for credit card withdrawal .

This was a horrible hotel. Noise night and day. Could hear loud music from across the street. Employees talking and laughing loud at 7am. Bed was hard as a rock. Shower had holes in ceiling. Pillows were so small and old that would never be used in a home.

¡Pésimo servicio! Eran las 2 de la mañana cuando me di cuenta que mi cama estaba infestada de chinches. Me cambiaron de habitación con una actitud como que si eso pasara todas las noches y sin mostrar pena o verguenza ante la situación. Cuando llego a la otra habitación para mi sorpresa había una cucaracha en la cabecera de la cama, por lo que volví a solicitar cambio de habitación. No hubo recompensa económica ni una disculpa profesional. Decidí no hacer más grande el asunto y mejor opté por irme en cuanto antes. Los precios son sumamente elevados para tan pésimo servicio y para las condiciones en las que se encuentran las habitaciones, ya que además de haber encontrado animales, en ninguna de las dos habitaciones había agua caliente como prometen. ¡No recomendado!

Me gustó , el ambiente muy a gradable si se puede descansar rico , el personal muy profesionales, todo relajado , precios económico buena comida , toda clase de bebidas , se puede salir a cualquier ora a la calle.

I don’t ever like to write reviews that are too negative but Hotel Nakbe needs a revamp. I could see they were doing repairs on the stairs but heck - what about the rooms. I recently stayed at Hotel Nakbé Atiltlán in Panajachel, booked through a travel agency as part of my tour of Guatemala. Unfortunately, my experience was a disaster. First of all, I returned to my room to find my wallet and charger stolen. I spoke to reception and the looked at the video footage but inconclusive. Either way, I’m $500 US out of pocket and couldn’t get anything from staff. Shower was cold and frankly, as a Compliance Manager - dangerous. Water and wiring don’t mix. See the last photo. Bed comfortable. Bedding appropriate and comfortable / clean. No overhead fan which would’ve been nice on the warm night I stayed there. Could not for the life of me get the tv to turn off. Couldn’t even reach the PowerPoint to make it go away so I endured a night of flashes of tv light. The walls are thin. On one side, I could hear the person in the next room snoring and then I heard a smash down domestic argument in the room on the other side. Save me! Add in downstairs music, dogs barking at all hours and construction noise, it wasn’t a good night of sleep. Best thing about this hotel is its location to the lake and general shopping. Wifi was good but alas, there needs to be some serious steps taken to bring this up to scratch.
