Posada Don Miguel
4.2/545 Reviews
Very nice and clean hotel. We thought it was a bit expensive for what you get. However the room was fine. We moved the beds around so we could still sleep together. When you’re in the bathroom, other people can hear you. And in the morning I woke up from the cleaners but that was all. The outside noise doesn’t reach the hostel because it is in an (save) ally. Also the people speak good English!
Hotel El Sol
4.3/510 Reviews
The El Sol Hotel is a little away from the event ,which must not be a disadvantage,in a quiet location. The center and port are reachable quickly and cheaply with the Tuk Tuk.A very nice owner, A very well-served hotel, clean rooms and a delicious breakfast make you feel comfortable. It was a pleasant stay at a very good price.
Porta Hotel del Lago
4.2/5108 Reviews
This is a large, modern hotel with all the amenities you would expect to find. Elevator, spacious room, comfortable beds, good shower, efficient check-in and check-out. Wide view of the lake and volcanoes from our room. Convenient to restaurants and services in Panajachel. Our stay was brief, so we did not experience the restaurant or pool area.
Hospedaje El Viajero
4.1/513 Reviews
In a town with many fine, affordable hotels, this remains my favourite. I showed up unexpected this time, without reservation. Marie, the wonderful host, said ”Room with private bathroom?” I said ”sure”. $40; two nights, in a clean, cozy, safe and relaxing little spot. What more could you ask for? If you're looking for glamour or big, elegant courtyards or verandas, those hotels are around, for six or seven times the price, but if small, clean, welcoming, and modest is all you need, this is the place for you. Literally two blocks from tje main market, including the fabulous Mercado Artisan, where you'll find EVERY beautiful Guatemalan handcraft available, and maybe five short blocks to the central square. Lord willing, I will be back soon, and Hospedaje El Viajero will be where I stay!
Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo Panajachel
4.3/5101 Reviews
This posada is located up from the beach and marina where boats scurry back and forth to the far side of Lake Atitlán. Great view of the lake and the volcanos. Sat outdoors, under a huge canvas shade cloth and had a delicious lunch -- with live marimba music (6 musicians). Ordered Guatemalan foods: the daily plate (chicken, beans, rice, fried plantains) and the ”national dish” -- Pipián (chicken and potatoes in a spicy stew-like broth). The daily plate was well prepared but boring. The Pipián was outstanding!! The restaurant offers a full bar. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Prices were not expensive. Overall it was a great experience and we would recommend a stop here before or after you take your boat ride across the lake.
Regis Hotel Spa
4.3/5102 Reviews
Location is wonderful, the territories of the super hotel, there are hot sources. The room is good, convenient, there are storage spaces for the hangar, convenient bath. A lot of greens and flowers, very beautiful. There is a euro socket that is rare in Guatemala. The only thing that doesn't fit all beauty, the chumy staff, is very badly responded to requests. Simple request to pour hot water for tea and give a cup turns into a problem and we see dissatisfied people.
