Perfect! This hotel is part of a chain, and all the Hennan properties are connected. The Alona branch is fantastic, with direct beach access right outside. The breakfast spread is amazing, and the buffet for lunch and dinner is also great. You could easily spend a whole day just enjoying the hotel facilities!

Upon check-out, the front desk noticed a drink bottle on our balcony table (containing cigarette butts from smoking outside the hotel). They then demanded a hefty fine, claiming the 'room smelled of smoke.' The manager was unyielding, insisting that the 'smell of smoke' was proof. The fine started at a high amount, and when we refused to pay, it was suddenly discounted. Eventually, the fine was waived because they had no concrete evidence (no ashtray, no smoke alarm records, no surveillance footage). Throughout this, the front desk even threatened to call the police and stated that I wouldn't be allowed to leave the lobby area if I didn't pay. This experience significantly soured our vacation mood. Afterwards, we searched on Chinese travel apps and found that we weren't the only Chinese guests who had experienced something similar – others were asked to pay large fines for the same reason, which were then 'discounted.' We have also complained to HENANN headquarters and, if we don't receive a constructive response, we will officially complain to the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). I also strongly recommend that the hotel promptly provides a Chinese version of its no-smoking policy, including the fine details. Not every Chinese person speaks English, and as an international resort, you should cater to the needs of different guests. Although the fine was ultimately waived, the handling of this incident caused significant distress to my trip (while I was dealing with this, a fellow countryman next door was fined 20,000 pesos). Fellow travelers booking this hotel, please take note.

We stayed at Henann Alona Resort as a family. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The foods are good lots of selections, and the location is perfect, with the surrounding pools is amazing my kids love it, they have kids and adult pool and what i love in the pool its not crowded worth the money, and our premier  room is big and the view is the pool. Good for family and friends outing.

Honestly, an easy 10/10. In the Philippines it is hard to find consistency. Impossible actually. I appreciate the service this resort was able to offer my family.

Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped. 1. The room furnishings are a bit old, especially the wooden furniture. 2. The room and balcony are quite spacious; we stayed in a premium room. 3. There are three swimming pools. The one near the beach is open until 12:00 PM. 4. Both pool bars at the hotel have a happy hour for drinks (buy one get one free) from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 5. The breakfast selection is limited (with a focus on Korean and Filipino dishes). Breakfast hours are 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM on the second floor, and 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM near the beach. 6. Check-out time is 11:00 AM (which is quite early). 7. If you arrive early, you can check in ahead of time if a room is available. Otherwise, you can pick up your room key at 3:00 PM with your ticket. 8. It's best to pay the hotel deposit in cash (4000p). If you use a credit card, the refund might take a long time to process after check-out.

Loved the warmth of the staff! The location is really good as it offers direct access to the beach with several recliners where you can lounge or sunbathe. The pools are also very big with a pool bar that has a happy hour! The spa also offers a very relaxing massage with a jacuzzi and sauna. Definitely a relaxing place to stay!

The hotel is located right on Alona Beach. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There's a main pool and a beachfront pool, both quite nice. The hotel staff were all incredibly warm and friendly, always ready to help with any needs or issues. Room cleaning was prompt, happening about one to two times a day, and they even offered turn-down service. There are two restaurants serving breakfast, and the beachfront one felt a bit more extensive. The beachfront restaurant also has a dinner buffet in the evenings, which is 990 pesos per person for hotel guests – excellent value for money with a good variety of dishes. The location is convenient, about a 10-minute drive from the airport. Definitely a top choice hotel on Alona Beach.

My precious earrings went missing from the room, and the staff actually told me that I was partly responsible... speechless.

Here's my hotel booking advice for traveling with seniors and a little one. A large resort is ideal because it's not suitable for a baby to go island hopping. During the day, we mostly spent our time at the various pools and the beach within the hotel. The direct-access pool room was my baby's favorite; they carefully walked down the steps one by one, eager to learn how to swim. We even happened to be there for Chinese New Year's Day, and the hotel provided a complimentary buffet dinner for all guests. The buffet was excellent, and the performance was fantastic. This hotel is impeccable, and I'll definitely stay here again in the future. I also booked a two-night villa at another hotel. While a villa might seem nice, it was actually quite impractical. The small pool in the villa couldn't satisfy my mom's swimming needs; she didn't even get in. It was also dangerous for the baby to play in the yard, walking around the pool. We originally booked it to cook our own New Year's Eve dinner, but we couldn't even buy seafood locally in the end [crying face].
