Lost Horizon Beach Dive Resort Reviews

Our room is facing the sea with terrace which is like their horizon suite I guess. Decor is tired, the shower is rusty, but works. Staff are very average, they don’t understand service. They just follow the book in terms of check in and check out. Location is the best part as it’s right in the beach and everything is reachable by walking. If you don’t expect much from service and a tired looking room and very poor bathroom then you’re good.

Very bad experience dealing with this hotel. The hotel didn’t try even a little bit to understand and to help to deal with a difficult situation out of my control. Hotel’s behaviour is surely not kind, nor understanding and only money oriented; very unfriendly.

Location is excellent,beachfront,beside best western Aircon,cable tv,lights working well Shower with heater Faucet water is salty Bathroom fixtures look old and rusty Shower sliding door not sliding Safe box not working/cant be locked LANDLINE NOT WORKING,WE HAD TO GO DOWNSTAIRS TO THE LOBBY EACH AND EVERY TIME WE NEED SOMETHING We had it checked but they still werent able to fix it. they charge you for everything extra, spoon is 50 pesos, hot water 30 pesos per thermos pitcher,etc They make up room w/o consent/even if we werent in the room. Restaurant is way over priced. There is ongoing construction/renovation same floor,very noisy,cant sleep Smoking area restaurant rooftop or at the parking area at the back of the resort Parking area gated with security guard Staff not so good in english Hope they can improve facilities

It started with the fact that after registering, we were taken to a room overlooking the sea, in fact the window looked out onto the backyard with a parking lot, and the smell in the room was as if they had been killing cockroaches there for a week, and there was still some left for us, we immediately returned to the reception and asked questions, to which we were basically just sent. No amount of persuasion about how something was wrong and everything was completely wrong did not help. The manager offered to upgrade the room for 400 pesos per night, with a difference in price in the booker of $1, that’s how they do their math. I had to contact trip.com, they responded quite quickly and asked me to wait about an hour until they could solve it. A little over an hour later, for greater persuasiveness, I asked the manager to go with me to the room and enjoy this unique aroma of pesticides. Probably thanks to this, upon our return and after consulting with the manager, they upgraded us and put us in other rooms, without smell and with a sea view. It was already late and we didn’t start to find fault too much, although we did with him. The room was quite tolerably decorated and the linen was all clean, but there was something terrible in the shower, all the glass and frames were stained with lime or salt, the faucet was all rusty, in short, we remembered the Indian style of room decoration. And during the 3 nights we stayed, they never came to clean our room, I don’t know where it got 3 stars, there’s too many. In short, I don’t recommend it, I don’t recommend it, it’s not even worth $50.

The hotel is located in Alona Beach, the location is very convenient, it also has its own parking lot, and the staff is diligent. It is the best choice for diving, I will book it next time

We stayed in February in a deluxe room next to the pool on the first floor. It is very convenient to go to the sea and the pool. Very good location of the hotel, maximum 200 meters to any restaurant on the beach. The room is spacious, the beds are comfortable. The pool is deep and clean.

It's OK, it's close to the beach, but the sign is not eye-catching enough, it's hard to find the entrance on the beach and it's so obvious. I suggest the business to put up a big sign.
