Extremely well managed hotel- internal and external spaces are well maintained and spotlessly clean. Beautiful pool area and access to the sea. Rooms are very well appointed - comfortable beds and pillows, fantastic balcony right on to the sea (one bed sea view suite and a duplex panorama), Aqua di Palma toiletries, serviced 3 times a day with water, cake, fruit and we had champagne on the 1st night ( we had a room mix up but all turned out fine in the end). Good balance of quiet at night and enough atmosphere around the pool/ in restaurants/ proximity to the town. Special mentions: 1. food: we stayed HB which was good value. - Extensive breakfast, - Mediterraneo has large and delicious menu with very generous portions (above expectations … amateur chef hubby has v high standards). - Ouranos tapas were unusual and tasty- probably the best we’ve eaten outside of some very exceptional restaurants in Barcelona- cocktails also yummy. - It was good to have a call button by each sun-bed for poolside drinks. - We also went to the beach club at Anastia- setting was beautiful, food ok but not as good as at the Annabelle - Amorosa wasn’t open and the Cypriot taverna Ouzeri next door wasn’t included in HB which was a shame 2. Service: this is what really made a stand out stay. Everyone we interacted with were so lovely- relaxed friendly, genuine people and not the fake niceness you sometimes get at smart hotels. Special mention to 1. Alexo in Ouranos who was totally charming 2. Anna Maria who looked after us at breakfast with a smile 3. Eva who greeted us with pool towels and was always funny and friendly 4. Gabrielle who was super efficient with drinks by the pool 5. Chloe gave us a top tip to book table 30 at mediterraneo
