Daphne Hotel Apartments

This hotel appears available on multiple booking platforms as at end April 2024, for a booking in May 2024. However, the hotel is unresponsive to emails and doesn't answer the phone. My mother lives outside Paphos and drove by to see what's going on. No signage up or evidence of any activity. Do not book this place as it does not appear to be open, yet booking sites will allow booking and take your money.

We were supposed to stay here for two nights. We arrived at the apar**ents to find it very old, run down and poorly maintained 'The well tended gardens ', were quite the opposite. We went to our room and the 'well equipped kitchen' was discusting, the hob completely unusable! The bed that my child was supposed to sleep on was rusted and looked ready to collapse. The ancient air conditioning did not work and the pool and area around it was awful. We were told we would have a room near the pool but we were put out on the road on the top floor. The price they were charging was extortionate for the facilities, or lack there of, they were offering. We decided not to ruin our holiday by staying there and left. Thankfully we found a gorgeous place, with lovely facilities to stay, 6 minutes away, for less money. I certainly would not recommend the Daphine Appar**ents to anyone!

we as a group booked this hotel due to its location, having booked 3 apar**ents we (11 persons) were told there was nothing available (even though we had paid up front) and we would be moved to another hotel 10km away!After an argument we were given 4 "rooms" under duress. When we got in the room i stared in disbelief at the state of them, damp up the walls, worktops worn and peeling, table chipped and filthy and worst of all electrical point held together with masking tape. we tried to turn on air con but it did not work (38 deg C that day) informed reception and were given 2 crap fans but only had 1 socket in bedroom! i slept on couch in sitting room so i could plug in fan,Rooms were so hot one of our group slept on the balcony as none of the 4 rooms air con worked! we were on top floorand on every floor there was a broken fridge/air dryer and laundry on the floor (not a welcoming sight) We went to the bar and the only beer available is keo no other choice! This hotel is a total disaster zone and i will never return, i expect nicosia prison has better rooms. Avoid like the plague!!

We arrived in the morning after already telling the hotel we would be checking in early. The lady didn’t even greet us and when I said hello she replied with ‘ you’re too early to check in. ‘ I explained why and she huffed and puffed and finally checked is in- not sure why so much attitude as it’s her job?! We went to our room ( we only stayed for a day as was using it as base before our evening flight. ) the room was dirty, old, smelly snd damp. I don’t know how they’re even able to sell this ( photos below. ) the floor was coming off and plugs hanging off the wall, it looked like a prison. Also there was NO air con after they said there would be as the unit was broken and old. When we checked out the lady was so rude. I wouldn’t stay here even if it was free the staff were rude and horrible the room was vile. AVOID.

Just a quick review to say that the Daphne hotel is no longer there it is a building site We arrived in Cyprus in December and this is what is left of the Daphne We was surprised because family members stayed there the year previous and asked us to have a look at the hotel and when we got there this is what we found ... A big hole in the ground

Awful is an understatement..The apar**ent was old, aircondition did not work, toilet had mold on it and was yellow inside and shower didn't work properly. The furniture was dirty and kitchen faucet was broken. We did not stay there and asked for a refund as we were only in for 10 minutes and sweating top to bottom. The person at the reception told us he couldn't do anything but when I said I would make a review they refunded me half an hour later. We moved to a different hotel for the same money 3 minutes away and when I told them the situation they already knew which hotel I was talking about. Do not waste your time and money..
