Avanti Holiday Village

This was a fantastic hotel and had great facilities. We stayed for the bed and breakfast option and it provided great cooking facilities in the apartment, even a full oven! During our stay, I became ill due to a bad coughing viral infection. This meant that we were unable to do the exploring around the island that we would usually do. However whilst this could have been awful, as we're not the usual sunbed around the pool types, I was so well looked after. The hotel breakfast staff, particularly Demetria were so helpful. This is more note-worthy as we are both vegan and I am gluten-free. We had notified the hotel before our trip and to our surprise, the staff had bought in some very special and tasty alternatives that fitted our dietary needs, so well. This was fantastic and were were treated so well. Demetria went above and beyond her role to accommodate and serve us. Thank you for making all the effort you did!

The Avanti Holiday Village is superb. The apartments are clean, spacious and comfortable, with sunny patio areas. The pool is fantastic, we loved the relaxing waterfall. Friendly helpful staff throughout resort, the pool was one of the nicest we’ve had abroad, lovely and warm and we enjoyed the swim up bar! Some days it was tricky to find a sun lounger but it got quieter in the afternoons. Apartment was roomy, clean, great air con, had everything we needed (as others have said you do need to buy washing up liquid and sponges). The apartments are all quite close together and a bit overlooked. We were self catering but had breakfast a couple of times at the resort which was delicious and good value, also had some takeaway food at lunch to eat by the pool and again very tasty and good value. We were ground floor which we enjoyed as we like cats, think we had 7 on our patio one night! We left a bowl of fresh water out for them which they appreciated. The village is a bit sad now as many places ship, but Fiesta and Kalhua always busy and lively. Places worth a visit:- The harbour (can walk or get bus) Runners - 1st Sunday of month there is Paphos run club 5k Park Run Riccos beach bar Glass bottom boat trip Buggy tour Supermarket we used Papantoniou near the harbour as it’s bigger and cheaper.

Wonderful holiday village here in Paphos! Big shout to Demetria and her team in the restaurant and pool bar fantastic service and very friendly, nothing is ever too much to ask 😊 well done! Rooms are very spacious, although bathrooms need a refresh. Pool area was good and sun bed’s usually easy to get around 8-10am. Food and drinks good in the village. Could do with some extra night life around the village however the local fiesta bar and mini market sufficed. 20 min walk down to the harbour was lovely at sunset. Highly Recommend the Wave Dancer boat trip best boat trip we’ve ever been on.

We just got back from a great week holiday at the village. Staff are super friendly (a big shout out to Demetra in the restaurant) where we had breakfast each morning and the occasional dinner. Breakfast is a mix of continental and full English (self serve) €10 for adults €5 for children. (Although a little cheaper if you choose to book at reception for each day or a flexi booking of 3 days. Lunch is by menu and the portions are big and food is lovely. Pool bar has crisps, ice creams, drinks. All reasonably priced. Service could be a little slow at the bar but that was due to cocktail making for guests. The staff are really great. My only complaint here is you can’t pay cash, you have to pay by card or have it billed to your room number so my child could not go to the bar and order what he wanted himself which he likes to do with his own “holiday money”. It also make it difficult in leaving a tip for the staff. If you have it billed to your room you can pay that at reception using cash. Keep cash Avanti Sunbeds at the pool - if you want one get up early! annoyingly, people would put their towels on and a lot were empty most of the day so others could have used them. I do believe there is a rule that if you’re away from beds for a hour the towels are removed but this was not the case. I watched people put towels on and leave and not come back until 4pm to get the last of the sun! The pool is huge and a nice depth at the deepest part, my son learnt how to swim on holiday it’s so big, it’s not cramped and plenty of room for people to use lilo’s rubber rings etc. it’s lovely and warm too. The indoor pool is freezing and there are no loungers in there. They have water aerobics & ball games going on through the day and other activities. The kids club isn’t exciting..it’s an air conditioned room to color, play board games and play-doe etc. Not what I would have imagined. I expected activities and interactive games, music and lots of fun. It’s nice if the kids are too hot though to get out of the sun for half hour. Any longer and they would be bored in my opinion. Rooms are spacious & clean. The tv in the room could be a little bigger. There are Plenty of stray cats which called that we fed and watered. Surprisingly they don’t try to get into your rooms they are good at staying outside. All friendly too and like to be stroked. There are plenty of ants so don’t leave food out!! Overall an excellent place! nice and relaxed We would go back. 😊

We stayed for 9 nights in May and couldn’t be happier! Demetra and Elsa in the restaurant were fantastic with our little boy, to the extent that each morning he would run up to them at breakfast and they would take him in their arms for a cuddle. Extremely wonderful woman who really looked after us! We were self catering at the time of booking but upgraded to the breakfast, really good food choices and plenty of choice for little ones. We had lunch on quite a few days and the food was exceptional, huge portion sizes. The apartments are slightly dated but were more than adequate, the beds were comfy and the shower was fine pressure wise and it was really handy to have a bath also when you’ve got children. This was my husbands first time in Cyprus and we are already talking about booking again to come back and stay at Avanti due to having such a lovely stay, the people working made such a difference. We walked to the harbour on a number of occasions along the sea front and visited the mall where there is a supermarket that stocked plenty of English products aswell. Looking forward to returning and seeing Dementra and Elsa again!

We stayed at Avanti Village during half term, travelling as a family with 2 children. We absolutely loved it! The bedrooms are a little old fashioned but are spacious and the beds are comfortable, which is vitally important. The pool is huge, so despite it being a very busy week, we didn't feel like people were on top of each other. We stayed half board, and opted to stroll over to the hotel as the choice and quality was better than the village. Dinner at the hotel was brilliant - such good quality and an excellent choice. Too often do hotels serve the same slop in different guises each day, but the food here was of a great variety of themes. As many people stay self catering, the restaurants are not rammed. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and the guests were also lovely. Cocktails and drinks overall are really reasonable - cheaper than home anyway. Ice creams by the pool are around 2euros which again is pretty good! One recommendation - ask for a 1st floor apartment, unless you are happy for a cat to sleep on your pool towels drying on a chair. The cats are cute but they'll happily stroll into your room :-)
