We stayed in this gem for 4 nights in a small simple but clean and air conditioned room. The location is perfect, has private parking and is right in town accessible to all the town offers. The best part was the front desk staff that provided us with all the best information about what to do and how!

Lovely hotel in a lovely town. Staff was extremely helpful an fluent in English… even some French.
The anti mosquito plug and liquid were provided
Nice sitting area and bar, excellent breakfast. Amazing pool area.
Quite a few famous guests seam to have been there.
We would definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

A very nice property in the old town. Almost every detail takes you back to the history of Paraty. Quite an authentic stay, really enjoyed it. Modern facilities (wifi, shower, swimming pool etc.) are there but historical details dominate. Staff members are very helpful. Receptionists, some speak English, can guide you through the hotel and nearby area. Very nice guys and ladies. I had my suitcase broken during the trip to Paraty. A maintenance guy fixed it in less than an hour:- saved my trip, really grateful to the guy. Breakfast is in a very nice old style beautiful restaurant. It is a la carte, which is great for not overeating, and service is a high quality one. Historical part of the town is quite small and walkable, all that could be done in 2-3 hours. Overall, a very nice pleasant stay in a historical building, really enjoyed it. Thanks a lot and all the best to the property staff members.

O hotel é bem localizado (no centro histórico de Paraty) e os funcionários são muito educados e solícitos, mas tivemos muitos problemas de barulho no nosso quarto (n° 3). Sempre que algum quarto usava a água, o boiler era acionado e fazia um barulho como se alguém estivesse martelando a parede do quarto. Isso se repetiu diversas vezes, principalmente durante a madrugada. Reclamei na recepção, mas nada foi feito. Outro problema sério é o isolamento acústico: tivemos que ouvir tudo (tudo mesmo…) o que os vizinhos do quarto ao lado faziam. E eles não eram muito silenciosos, para dizer o mínimo. Enfim, sei que é um hotel tradicional da cidade, mas a minha experiência não foi boa. Acho que esse tipo de problema de barulho no quarto - ainda mais por causa de questões estruturais - não é compatível com um hotel que cobra a diária que cobra.

It's a great place. We are a family of three and had a triple room in the reception part of the inn and it was perfect. The pool, sauna, pool table, and bar area all make for a great family hang out space. The staff are terrific. Breakfast is outstanding. We loved it. Thank you for a great stay.

Highly recommend staying in this pousada. The common areas, rooms, bar and pool are all beautiful and traditionally decorated. The staff on the desk are friendly, knowledgeable and are available 24 hours a day. The breakfast which is included is delicious with lots of variety of freshly prepared food. Would love to stay here again!
