Lumbini is a true gem! A heart warming host and his team makes the stay very pleasant. The lodging is clean, comfortable ( if you have climbing issues you can request for a ground floor room as there is no lift ) and have breakfast sent to your room in the morning. The owner's wife , Esther made fantastic fish curry and delicious breakfast and do come and learn the momos from her. My personal favourtie is the chai tea every morning. The cup of chai enlivened my soul in the morning. Lumbini is located in a quiet square and near to most tourist spots ;and the team is like a family. Be embraced by this Nepalese family. They are best host i have seen in all my travels worldwide. Be ensured that the team will look after your needs and help you should you need assistance. A definite pleasure to stay with !!!

Hôtel managed by the very nice family of Amon and Esther in a quiet square in Patan . Very close to the golden temple . The rooms are big , the bathroom new . The breakfasts are always served with fruits on the side , on their rooftop terrasse . The coffee is good ! A very interesting historical tour can be organised . You don't imagine the treasures hidden just behind the streets ! I stayed almost a week and enjoyed my time and felt at home . Thank you Amon & Esther & your little girl and staff !

I have stayed at Lumbini Heritage Home many times. The young family that runs it are very friendly, helpful and just lovely people. On a previous visit I mentioned to the owner I was interested to do the pikey peak trek to find out he has a company that organises it. Start to finish Aman was helpful, well organised and took care of everything. We had a guide and porter come with us, he gave us different transportation options. The guide took us off the beaten path to visit villages, monasteries and jungle paths along the way. Everything was perfectly done, would recommend these guys to anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal. Also try and get in on the Pikey Peak trek now, it's quite a new trail with amazing views of Everest at sunrise. I am certain in 5 years time it's going to be so popular some of the quaintness and charm will be lost to crowds. I believe they also do excursions and trips within Kathmandu and Patan but didn't try, will save it for my next visit. The guesthouse is decorated in the traditional style, but also very clean and neatly done. Great healthy breakfast options.

This is a fantastic little boutique hotel. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms have character. The walking tour to see the hidden wonders of Patan was fantastic. These are areas you would never find without a good local guide. Highly recommend.

Nice clean hotel, great rooftop terrace, overlooking a rarely beautiful and quiet square in the center of Patan. The owners live here themselves, and a very nice and hospitable. AND - they truly make the best momo I’ve ever had!(and I’m a chef myself).

Being with Aman Esther and little Naomi at their beautifully renovated newari house is a pleasure. The location in Patan is in a quiet well kept community Square near all the impressive temples and Durban square. They are perfect hosts with so much information about the local ara. Highly recommended!

Aman and Ester are wonderful hosts! Their guesthouse is very well located at a beautiful and quiet square next to the Golden Temple and not more than 250m from Durbar Square. I enjoyed having breakfast on the rooftop which was nicely prepared by Ester and Pusa according to my wishes. Highly recommended!!
