"Premium Guest House managed by KGH which stands for Kathmandu Guest House. This is their Patan branch. Not as polished as their main outlet in Thamel but a very nicely reconstructed Newari building in the bustling commercial area of Patan surrounded by cool little cafes and restaurants. The rooms are clean, neat and bright with all.basic amenities. Their most economical room category, the one we booked (room 501) was about 20% smaller than advertised on trip.com. Beware that there is no elevator. For us staying on the 5th floor was not a problem but for some it might be too much of a climb All in all we had a good stay, staff was friendly and Mr Richin the manager is very good at managing the hotel. Recommended"

"I've stayed at a few other hotels in the Thamel area in a similar price range, and this one was overwhelmingly cleaner by comparison. I was surprised at how meticulously they cleaned the room every day. What really set it apart from other Thamel hotels was that the sheets and towels were genuinely white and clean. The breakfast, though simple, was delicious, and all the staff were very kind. As for the downsides, if you're over 170cm tall, you'll find yourself ducking in many places due to the hotel's traditional architecture, even in your own room. I bumped my head several times before getting used to it. Also, the water pressure in the shower isn't great. On the first day, there was no hot water in the shower, and the front desk staff's response wasn't very courteous. They told me to use the shower in the next room but offered no apology whatsoever. During check-in, they also just rattled off the bare minimum information. However, this particular staff member was the only one who wasn't friendly."

"We checked in late night approximately at 10 pm, and when requested for extending a late checkout by 1 hour next day, the reception guy with dark complexion wearing black coat response was unacceptable which is very rude and uncooperative. Food quality was poor and also the service was poor. Not much option for veg. The given room was also of poor quality, not much of room amenities , even a basic soap was not placed. The hotel's maintenance is poor, needs renovation in rooms. The smoke emitting from the near by brick factory makes the experience even worse by polluting the air quality of it's surrounding. Moreover, the loud music from the picnic group makes the experience even worse by diminishing the essence of quietness in the nature. In general, the resort is NOT APPROPRIATE location if you are looking for a quiet area, excellent guest service along with better quality of food and service."

I value communication and from the start of the booking process, they were quick and reassuring in their responses. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully furnished with beautiful bed, private bathroom, a good sized desk and clothes cupboard. The family is available, welcoming, but also respectful of your privacy. The location is in great - steeped in history, just near Patan Dhoka and short walk to Patan Durbar Square. I had such great sleeps there :-) Highly recommend."
