"My wife had been invited to an international art event in Patan and all participants were housed in Hotel Timila. I arri ed in Nepal when the event ended so that we could have a week to ourselves, and she had enjoyed the accommodations so much that we cancelled our other plans to stay here. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and modern, with a tranquil courtyard where one can enjoy meals or just sit quietly. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The restaurant is excellent, with great food and staff. The location is very convenient and a 3 minute walk to the Patan Darbar Square. We recommend this to anyone needing a welcoming and comfortable place to stay in Lalitpur."

"Stayed for one night in a 24 hour stopover in Kathmandu. Great location close to Patan Durbar Square in a lively young area about 20 minutes from the airport. The Inn is a restored residential home from the 1800s built around a courtyard. It was warm enough to eat breakfast and dinner in the courtyard area. The property has lots of character, which also means some small doorways and low ceilings. Friendly service and super room (Room 7 - one of two junior suites), looking onto the court yard, but not that these are on the third of four floors and no lift. Ate breakfast and also dinner for convenience and those were fine. The room was ready on an early arrival (around 10:00) and as we were leaving for an early flight the next day (5:45) we were able to have breakfast on the day we arrived. Booked via our travel agent as part of our trip, they arranged a half day tour taking in Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Monkey Temple, the Garden of Dreams for lunch (which was packed by would-be Tik Tok fans photographing themselves in the garden) and finishing in Patan Square, where we visited the former Royal palace. The second tour was a photography walk with a local photographer capturing some of the magic of Boudha square in the rain, followed by time spent walking around Patan square and the side alleys around."
