Double D Boutique Residence

I like this small boutique hotel. It is more motel than hotel in term of facilities. There is no on site dining or drinking. The old rooms do have a sink, microwave, fridge and kettle so breakfast with coffee is manageable. The staff are friendly and for the most part obliging with small special requests. Over the past 5 years I've seen a steady decline in the quality and quantity of day to day maintenance of the property. Once it was a common sight to see small jobs being performed around the complex however during my last 2 visits the number of minor items requiring attention was obviously increasing. The focus seems to have shifted to building new rooms rather than refitting the existing ones. Despite the above I will probably stay in the Double D again. The quiet location and easy accessibility to central Pattaya; assuming you have your own transport; are compelling attractions.

The staff was very friendly. It looked very clean. A little outdated and small. Good sized balcony overlooking the pool. Pool was cold as there is coverings above it. No elevator, but only 3 floors so not a big deal. Cons: cockroaches in the room, our bed was very uncomfortable, anything entertaining is a couple miles away, so either walk or get a grab. The toilet would not flush. You do exit in an alley, but we did not feel unsafe, just a bit smelly in places. We ended up cutting our time here short and got by the beach for about the same price.

It was a lovely hotel spotlessly clean, lovely pool and gym the only down side was we were on the 3rd floor and the staircase realy could have done with a handrail, my wife made us move to a ground floor suite so there was no stairs to climb. something for the hotel to think about

No smile. No intro to the room and facility use. Customer service could be better.
