I am in town for the SEC baseball tournament. I made a reservation online, paid with my card and fulfilled the digital check in for this evening. Around 8:45 PM this evening, I received a call that they had overbooked the night. I received a curt apology from their caller (Tamara) but nothing else. No service recovery. No offer to connect with corporate to try to find something else in the area - just essentially a “too bad”. If in the area for travel ball tournaments or other reasons, AVOID this establishment because their word is not their bond, and their service recovery is a one-minute phone call (literally). After spending another 30 minutes at the tournament finding a hotel room, I am now in a Hilton property this evening. Perhaps all’s well that ends well.
