This was our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last. Everything about our one night stay was perfect. The castle room was so comfortable, the spa was a delight and the Sandeman restaurant was a treat. The staff were beyond helpful and the surroundings were breathtaking. A very special stay in a special hotel.

I had an amazing stay at the hotel! Everything was outstanding from start to finish. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience.

This was only a one night stopover en route but we wished we had been able to stay longer. The setting, the history, the staff, the comfort level and an outstanding restaurant made the magical place just perfect!

Stayed for 3 nights in February. The castle and the Woodland Suites (where we stayed) were stunning.
The staff were incredible and nothing was a hassle. Mark welcomed us immediately and gave us a very helpful tour of the property. EV charging was free to use - which is becoming increasingly rare even amongst 5* hotels.
Breakfast was hearty, tasty and the service perfect.
Dinner was equally great. Despite Pitlochry having options to choose from, you’re really in the best spot at Fonab and do not need to leave at all.
I am loathed to criticise any part of our stay, but if I were being super critical, the spa facilities were a little tired. Though that said, there was some external refurbishment being conducted, so perhaps that is shortly extending to the interior?
We were not staying to take advantage of the spa, so it didn’t bother us too much.
Overall a fantastic stay.
