"Beautiful location. Very comfortable clean rooms. Great welcome. Beer/beer garden excellent. Food very tasty but waitress could do with some help. Quiet. Log fire in the lounge very welcoming. Breakfast good and served with a smile. One walk from the hotel quite long but worthwhile. Roadside walking looks risky as no path. Good value but not cheap"

"It is a super beautiful living castle that I can't describe in words, it is clean and peaceful, the bathroom and room are very clean and hot water is abundant, because we arrive very late, the receptionist is also very patient and thoughtful waiting for us. "On arrival we had a warm welcome with complimentary drinks and shown to our gorgeous room. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The added extras and attention to detail were exquisite and in my book should be a 5 star hotel. Everything from the food and drink to the surroundings was absolutely beautiful. Also don't worry about taking wellies as they can be provided along with dry robes. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying here and will be back."

We have a pre paid booking (a gift) for two nights mid October and have just received a generic email saying goodbye to customers etc. The website is no longer active either so I guess that's them closed. No courtesy email/call to let customers know what's happening, unbelievable."

"What a delightful stay we had. The location is beautiful, right on the river and were fortunate enough to be able to sit outside. From the moment we entered, to the time we left, the service was excellent with the host greeting us and looking after us throughout our stay. The room was lovely (room 4 the tilt), far nicer than many 4 star hotels we have stayed in. There was thoughtful things too, like extra tea coffee etc outside. Spotlessly clean throughout and lovely Arran Aromatic toiletries too. I would highly recommend this hotel, no one could be disappointed."

"A lovely stay with an upgrade to a cottage, all quickly and efficiently arranged. This was a trip in honour of an annual expedition for my late wife Caroline and I to the Pitlochry area for autumn. Caroline always wanted to stay in the lovely cottages so it was fate and her sparkle that helped with the upgrade. Food is incredible and a wide selection of choices along with fantastic, friendly service and drinks. Very good to eat and sit by the river in warmer times. Terrific breakfast too. The cottage was spacious and kept warm. Very comfy. They are not new so you must allow for some quirky spaces and layouts. It was lovely to have that space to relax. Port Na Craig is a 10/15m walk from the town over the suspension bridge or the dam. It's a beautiful walk but be careful near water. Pitlochry is a beautiful town that Caroline and I have enjoyed for years and I'll continue to honour her by visiting. Thanks to the Port Na Craig team for making me so welcome and for the prosecco for toasting Caroline. Much appreciated."

"Nice room in beautiful old building. Easy to walk to everywhere in Pitlochry from here. Reception and breakfast was on adjacent hotel but easy to access. All staff friendly and helpful. Book early as is good value in this tourist spot. Breakfast is basic but had everything upturned need to set you up for the day."

"We have just returned after a wonderful stay here and much needed rest. A very peaceful, quiet location with gorgeous views which we miss already. The lodge was absolutely immaculate and the kitchen was so well equipped with everything you could need. Lodge was very roomy, cosy and beds so comfy. Highly recommended and we would love to return in the future."
