The State Resort
5/53 Reviews
This hotel is a resort. Located about 10 kilometers outside Phitsanulok City, the surrounding atmosphere is surrounded by rice fields. There is a rich and beautiful nature. The side of the room is similar to a separate bungalow. Not adjacent, there are about 18 rooms, there is a swimming pool, including a pool villa. And a room for 4 people for the room is considered clean. Helpful service staff can contact if there is any problem. The bed and blanket are comfortable. There are 2 bottles of drinking water, the WiFi signal is good for food. To eat at the poolside, it will be a menu to order, including basil fried rice, fried eggs, pork porridge, pan egg, with tea, coffee and toast or salad. Overall, it is considered very ok, good atmosphere. But suitable for people with cars because it is about 10 kilometers outside the city.
NAN Chao Hotel

One of the longest-established large hotels in Phitsanulok, located along Bhorom-Trairokhanat Road, which runs north-south through the old city. The quality of service and the good taste of the guest rooms, which may have been accumulated over many years in one of Thailand's most fierce battle areas, are at a level that should be admired. The exterior and structure of the hotel, which uses plenty of concrete and is full of profound feeling, is the typical architectural design of the 1980s in Thailand, and it makes us feel nostalgic. As it is a long-established hotel, the interior of the hotel has deteriorated accordingly, but the facilities in the guest rooms have been renewed in a modern style as appropriate. It is not suitable for walking around the city because it is located a little away from the Mahalat Temple, which is the biggest attraction in Phitsanulok, but the night market along the Nan River can be easily accessed on foot. Although it is located along the main road in Phitsanulok, the hotel is located in the depths of the vast grounds, so you can stay comfortably in a quiet environment.
Baan Lhang Wangh, house behind the palace

Here's my take on this place after staying here for one night: * You'll wake up in the morning seeing the ruins of the 4-century-old royal palace. * There's a temple and a museum in the complex, just 5 minutes away from this place if you walk. * The river is within a 10-minute walking distance. * Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat temple built in the 14th century is nearby. You can go there by rickshaw. * The host and the staff are extremely hospitable and friendly. They'll arrange tours for you if you ask and give you a curated itinerary. * The place is complete with high quality amenities and electronic appliances.
Blue River Resort

As an overnight stay this was a good option. The rooms were clean and well equipped and there was a covered parking area which was very welcome during the massive rainstorm that greeted our arrival. The breakfast was good with enough options to suit all tastes The 'garden' view was a stretch of the imagination. Just a very small planted area. I'm not sure it is a comfortable enough place to stay for more than a couple of nights. I thought a resort should have a pool - there isn't one
Ayara Grand Palace Hotel

This unfortunately was the worst of the 9 hotels we stayed in. The ”pool” which looked OK from a distance was green with algae and the walls a bottom were green a slippery. The bottom was uneven and coming away. There were broken brackets around the skimmers which were very sharp and dangerous. There was no were to sit or put your towels as the pool side furniture belonged to the rooms which opened out onto the poolside. The one bench based in the garden was surrounded by cigarette butts. The room was adequate but the towels were threadbare and the shower curtain fell down while we showered. The bar was based in the restaurant not very clear. You sat on patio furniture which wasn't a very comfortable place to enjoy your food. The drink and food menu was pretty basic but the food we had was good quality. A quiet and reasonably comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was pretty basic. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.
