Grand Resort Ocean Bay Phu Quoc Reviews

One of the best resorts I have ever stayed with. Perfect view that facing the sea with clean private beach. The swimming pool is one for the best one. We also like the high quality services provided by all the staff that always welcome us and make us feel home at Phu Quoc. We were celebrating birthday for our mother and the hotel provided us with decoration and cake which surprised my mother. One of the drawback is the hotel location doesn't have public transport. However, the grab is always available. Really recommended for those who are planning to relax and get away from all the stress.

Breakfast was ok, but the restaurant for lunch and dinner very weak. We ordered a cheese platter and they served us with sliced supermarket cheese for example. And it wasn’t cheap at all.

Eco-friendly

The resort is large and beautiful. It takes half a kilometer to walk from the room to the lobby and restaurant. You can also call the shuttle bus. The beach is long and there are many deck chairs. I really like the room. It's very unique. It's completely different from the regular hotel style. I stayed here for three nights and had an excellent accommodation experience (inevitably there are often beetles running in as roommates). Unfortunately, the majority of the guests during my stay were white people. I am a Chinese male traveling alone. The guards usually gave me unfriendly looks when I entered and exited the resort. Once, I was even chased by the guard and asked, "I don't understand Vietnamese." And he didn't try to make me understand his request. We were in a stalemate for several minutes before I found the room key and showed it to him. Frankly it was a terrible feeling, I knew the guard was just doing his job and I just believed there was a better way to handle this situation. (The only time I received a proactive and cordial greeting from a guard was when I was carrying a bag from Konkong Mart. It seemed that I had to look like a tourist enough 😂)
