The location view. The garden was good, but the room and bathroom were mosquito dens, so I had a hard time fighting the mosquito war, and there was no mosquito repellent or mosquito catching F killer, so I went to the mart and even if I used up one F Killer a day, they said they didn't support it. It's about Ral, and part of the ceiling in the bathroom is open, so it's a mosquito den. There are too many around the curtains. The breakfast is good, the garden is good, but I won't go there again. Bokeunbap at the beachside restaurant is very delicious ㅡ highly recommended.

Great hotel location, the infinity pool was awesome and the beach was really nice although spoiled by poeple that smoke so we didn't stay there much. Would be nice to separate the smokers from the normal poeple. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice , fruit, omelette on demand, pho on demand. (Only thing for me just like everywhere else vietnam is there's always fresh milk but never any other milk, soy or coconut would be awesome) Bar was handy and had plenty of drink options. Now onto the negative, which everyone knows the mosquitoes were apocalyptic. We first entered our room with the receptionist and it was Armageddon. They're flying everywhere there's sitting on pillows. So after settling in we asked for them to spray then we came back. It was much better then it was just a matter of continuing it. We were quick to open close the bathroom, never had lights on, opened the front doors quickly. It was a constant mission We ended up going to a store called king Kong I think and armed ourselves with room spray, and a diffuser. So my advice is although the mosquitoes will be there I'd say before your guests arrive do the extra room spray I think it looks better for you guys rather than WalkIng into a room with 100 mosquitoes. As part of checking in you can always ask the quests to wait 30 minutes or something because walking into that room may surprised us and it was scary. Also I believe amounted to 5$ I feel like as parts of keeping your customers happy its a decent investment. Second thing for me was the beds were hard as hell. I woke my first night and with the mosquito situation I was ready to book somewhere else. So I think this is a preference thing if you like hard almost like you're sleeping on wood beds than this is the place for you. Third negative is the restaurant bar, our first night we ate there and we never ate dinner again. It looks understaffed, the staff is doing all the bar drinks as well as serving and manning some BBQ thing on the beach. We ordered the fish which wasn't described on the menu and ended being some sort of carp bottom feeder that tastes like dirt. So unfortunately we just ate out after that. Despite all this after the mosquitoes were under control, we enjoyed our stay and the negative are a bit balanced.

Stayed at Thanh Kieu Resort for a week after coming over from Thailand.Direct flights with Vietjet from Bangkok getting here much easier & if you’re British you can get a 15 day visa free stay in arrival. The hotel with its quaint bungalows and beautiful gardens are reminiscent of some of the Thai islands which are also located in The Gulf of Thailand rather than the South China Sea as I’d previously thought. The bungalows are all individually laid out, fairly basic but clean and tidy.No television.Bathroom/shower is outdoors and basic.Beds have mosquito net which is essential as it’s very difficult to keep them from entering the room. Breakfast in pleasant building in middle of gardens.Finishes at 9-30am which is a little early but not an issue. No bottled water in rooms but filtered water available near restaurant. In theory excellent idea saving plastic but in practice a little difficult going back and fire to refill as drinking plenty of water in the heat is very important. The beach restaurant and beach area is probably the nicest stretch of Duong Dong with squeaky white sands,a covering of palm trees with ample sunbeds, plus a lovely swimming pool area overlooking the sea. The resort leads to the busy main road via a small lane with lots of shops and BBQ seafood restaurants. The main road again has many dining options and is in a great location probably a few kilometres from the busy night market. Very friendly staff especially Moon and Gerry who work hard everyday in the beach restaurant. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We loved our time at Thanh Kieu. We spent Christmas on the beach, and loved how special the staff made it for us. The bungalows are lovely and clean with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. The beach is awesome. Lots of loungers, clean, with nice areas to swim. The breakfast was one of our favorites in Vietnam. The pool was great. The only part we didn’t love was outside of the resort. The “town” isn’t anything special and the tour we went on the the cable car and islands was disappointing.

My wife and I stayed here in 2021 and loved it, so we thought we would come back for another stay. We usually come to Phu Quoc once or twice a year as we have friends on the island and really enjoy the island. We have stayed at several other places the past two years, but Thanh Kieu was high on our list. Unfortunately, after this stay we will not be returning to Thanh Kieu. The positives: -Resort is very natural and well landscaped. You really feel like you're staying in paradise. Beautiful flowers. -Room was clean -The bed was comfy and the air conditioner was definitely cold. -They also have three water filtration machines where you can refill your own bottles, which is nice. The negatives: -The breakfast buffet is advertised to run until 9:30, but at 9:20 the food much of the food ran out and was not refilled. Additionally, the food wasn't very good. Cold bacon and sausage, no heat lamps? Cheese that had gotten hard around the edges. Tasteless ham...etc. -Algae growing on the showerhead by the poolside shower. The shower that guests are supposed to use after swimming in the ocean had very weak water pressure so when I looked up at the showerhead it was all green with algae and gunk. Looked very gross. -No water to wash feet when coming up from the beach... well they have barrels, but no one put water in them for the guest to use. -The biggest negative was one particular staff member and a ridiculous hotel policy: I didn't get his name, but the staff member was quite rude. Guests can rent a scooter, but you have to pay a full-day rate regardless of when you rent it. Of course, I have no issue with renting a scooter at a full-day rate, but I then also assume that I get to use the scooter for a day. We rented a scooter at about 3:30PM and asked if they had a half-day rate. To which the staff member told us they did not and we had to pay the full-day rate. We returned the scooter at 9PM and told the staff member at the desk that we would be taking the scooter out in the morning to run a few errands, he informed us that we would have to pay another full day rate for what would have been about 15 minutes of errands. I'll spare you the details of the discussion, but will just say that the staff member was condescending and kept telling us that it was the hotel policy. Suffice it to say we returned the scooter and ran our errands via taxi the next day. We had rented the most expensive class of bungalow at the resort and to have to argue over just a few dollars didn't make us feel very welcomed. There are so many other options on the island, I'll be spending my money elsewhere next time I come to Phu Quoc.

Amazing experience. The resort is very private, with beautiful sandy beach and spectacular pool overlooking palm trees and the ocean. We stayed in bungalow 19 with a garden view and it was lovely. We had everything we needed in our bungalow. It was peaceful and quiet, with a nice terrace to have coffee in the morning. The breakfast was very good, especially the cooked breakfast from eggs, homemade yoghurt and fresh juices. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The restaurant by the beach was very good with quality food. You can also rent paddle board from them! Very recommend. You can also get a really nice massage at the beach (not sure if it’s part of the hotel). The sunsets are unbelievable at the beach front! Make sure to watch them. I will definitely come again! Beautiful beach holiday

We booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 8 as everything was perfect. We stayed in a Seaview bungalow overlooking the ocean. The beach was clean with plenty of sun beds scattered under the palm trees. The beautiful pool is huge and overlooks the ocean and is kept immaculate. Our bungalow was beautiful with a lovely balcony, chairs and hammock. The out door bathroom was terrific. The room was cleaned daily with both bath and beach towels replaced everyday. Loved the fact that you didn’t have to buy water at all as they provide a water jug that you can refill with filtered water as often as you want. The buffet breakfast was amazing with so much variety every day catering for both western and local guests. To top off our stay the staff were friendly and so very helpful with organising transport etc. Lots of lovely cafes nearby and also walking distance to night market. The massage ladies on the beach beside resort were reasonably priced and offered great massages.

Stayed 6 nights 2 couples. We had a beach front room with lovely views. Staff were great, breakfast was plentiful and lots of choices. Beach front was the best on that stretch by far. and we walked all along. Very peaceful. Ladies offering massages on beach were also very professional , excellent, great service and very cheap. Beach bar and restaurant was great, lots of choices of good quality food and drinks. Pool was fantastic too, beautiful. Local restaurants were great and our favourite was Sunlight fantastic service and fresh seafood. Would recommend bringing mosquito repellent.

We had a lovely stay in March for 5 nights. Location, beach, pool were all great. This was by far the best buffet breakfast served on our month long Vietnam trip. Great restaurants along little road leading to the hotel. As with other reviews, there are a lot of mosquitoes. Cracks in doors and doors and windows that don’t close completely, and an outside bathroom allow many to get inside bungalow. Thank goodness they have mosquito nets. They also keep your passport on checking in which I wasn’t happy about, which I guess I could have made a stink about to get back before checking out. A suggestion: Lower prices in beach restaurant and I bet a lot more people would eat there. Food is good but way overpriced. And offer a happy hour in the afternoon for the special drinks on the menu. We saw a lot of beach walkers walk by and once they looked at the menu, continued on without stopping for a drink or some food. Great sunsets!

It was good except too much mosquitoes. Hotel ought to spray to keep them under control. Also entrance door with no light is very dangerous at night. Water pressure was weak; and water temperature are two big issues during my stay.
