Hotels Near Kingkong Mart - Phu Quoc Specialties Store in Phu Quoc Island

Overall this was a good stay, but I'm going to likely try someplace else when returning to Phu Quoc, mostly to find a better match for the vibe I like out of a beach resort. Staff was pleasant, but not overly memorable. The resort is a lot bigger than I thought and most of the clientele that I saw were couples and families. I had a beachfront bungalow that was very nicely furnished with a king sized four poster bed, a huge bathroom and an outdoor balcony overlooking the beach. You can hear the waves at night once the very loud EDM/hip hop coming from two directions cuts out around 3 am. I took a 'can't beat em, join em' mentality one night and strolled over to the loud beach bar next door at night to realize that all the loud music was playing for exactly six people who were all yelling to hear one another over the music and not even on the dancefloor. Breakfast in the mornings was good, there's a friendly little mouse that comes by to lap up the crumbs as you eat if you dine alfresco. If you're turned off by rodents, Phu Quoc might but be the best place for you fyi. The bar at the hotel was very small with about 10 stools, but the guys that worked there were nice and the vibe was pretty chill.

This hotel is beautiful, right on the beach, great layout with lots of space around the pool. I never struggled to find a spot. Having a better understanding of the geography, it’s important to note that this hotel is a little out of the main town so it’s a little bit more secluded. Staff were very nice. My only issue was at breakfast, as no one comes to greet you or assist you in finding a table, it can be a bit chaotic.

The hotel is located in the downtown area right next to the beach, so the location is excellent. The check-in starts at 3 PM, just like another hotel; however, there is no warm service, and the room booked from trip.com has been arranged on the lower floor. The results were noisy on the lower floor because we reserved an ocean view, and the hotel swimming pool is just below the balcony. So we asked to change the room to a higher floor after several negotiations with the receptionist and added additional costs. There are no highlights about the hotel facility and average five-star rating. We swim more by the swimming pool than at the beach because the seawater quality is not that good. For the morning breakfast, there are many options, but nothing outstanding. Overall, it's a good hotel.

Good location. Less than 10 mins from the airport. Easy access to the Sonasea night market. (Recommend Mr.seafood) 15mins to the Kingkong mart. Small market sells most of items and has laundry service. Breakfast is good. Swimming pool is nice for both of kids and adults. Linked beach has bars and restaurants. The housekeeping servie is good and friendly. Reception staffs are nice. But other staffs don't understand English. Massage and Nail shop is very friendly with reasonable prices.

The Hotel was beautiful and the garden very nice. The whole hotel area was very clean and has direct beach access, you can get towels at the pool and beach. The access to the water is suitable for children. The staff is fast and friendly in most cases but the food service at the pool was sometimes slow and quite pricy compared to the outside places. The rooms were comfortable and well functioning, the bathroom was in very good condition. The location is good, but outside of the Phu Quoc it’s. However, there is a small night market with many open restaurants is in walking distance. Along the beach you can find a nice walk way and the hotel also offers bike rentals among other sport activities. We would go there again. To other locations for snorkeling or so, you can take a taxi and get everywhere in 40-60 minutes.

Excellent service, convenient location, and extremely helpful staff. I'm in utter love with this place. The décor of the brand-new room was sophisticated and elegant. The hotel employees provided excellent service, which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Leila, in particular, was kind and thoughtful in setting everything up for us, and she always comes with a big, genuine smile, which makes us even happier. She went above and above to make my stay as enjoyable as possible by planning my routes to visit various locations on my own, explaining in detail how to get there, and reserving my ticket to the airport. We want to express our gratitude for making our experience spectacular and incredibly memorable. Overall experience can be expressed in 3 syllables Fa Bu Lous, can’t wait to go back.

Lovely little hotel close to the sea with a sea view room.and small balcony. Comfortable bed good shower and good WiFi. The lift is a bit annoying as it pings loudly everytime. Not necessary in a small hotel, but otherwise all good. Staff are superb and very helpful. Starbucks 2 mins walk on the promenade is awesome and rented scooters from the hotel which you really need and a fun way to explore this quirky place. Will be back one day

The receptionist was very enthusiastic, very supportive and helpful. The room was clean and very fragrant. Good experience.

Pros: - good location, walking distance to Grand World - low price, best if you don’t spend much time at the hotel and mostly out and about - clean and modern decor Cons: - no aircon in corridor and elevator, it can be very uncomfortable to step in the elevator on hot days - no room service, no service at pool area, no option to pay for food and beverage at check out. - minibar is empty, instant coffee and tea bags are available yet no milk. When we requested milk for our cup of tea, the reception staff advised we would need to go to the bar (ground floor) to purchase milk at own cost. Milk is essential and it has always been provided free of charge wherever we’ve been (Bali, Singapore, Australia, etc.) - mid-stay ROOM INSPECTION. This is very UNPLEASANT practice to Westerners and should be stopped. Not sure if this is normal in Vietnam, but it is very displeasing and annoying to us (Australians). We often stayed a few weeks to months in Bali and other Asian countries, we’ve never had room inspection where 2 staff entered our room, 1 of them walked around the room pretending to check the skirting board with a screwdriver while the other was casing the room (it was obvious that they wanted to check to room). - poor English proficiency. Only one reception staff can speak English well, the rest of the staff don’t. My husband was quite frustrated during our stay because he couldn’t communicate with staff. We’ve stayed in Bali and other Asian countries, all of their staff are fluent in English including security and housekeeping staff. - lack of attention to food safety. Signage is very small. No cover when the meals bought outside to the pool area. Food was not kept at optimum temperature can cause bacteria to grow to dangerous levels that can cause illness. - lack of knowledge about beverage. Staff didn’t understand my husband’s order of Bourbon + Cola (very common drinks to Westerners) and advised they don’t have Bourbon. When my husband went to the bar with the staff, there was a big Bourbon bottle sitting on the shelf! - lack of customer service. Staff was not attentive to customers, my husband had to walked to the restaurant to get staff attention when we wanted food and drinks while we were at the pool. Staff should walk around and simply check in with customers. Staff didn’t greet customers when they walk past, again when we were in Bali and other Asian countries, their staff (everyone including housekeeping staff) always said good morning, good afternoon or good evening. - FACIAL BIOMETRICS RECOGNITION was an entry requirement to enter buffet breakfast. This should be disclosed in booking description including third-party websites like Agoda, Booking.com, etc. No information on Facial Biometrics Recognition are found anywhere or has ever been communicated to us prior to checking in. I booked Villa for 6 people, the villa is so big, have private pool and can stay at least 15 people. The activities in water world are so attractive and fair price compared to other beach
