Centara Kata Resort Phuket Reviews

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an amazing experience! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed that gave me a great night’s rest. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch, especially the pool and gym, which allowed me to relax during my trip. The restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious food. Overall, my stay exceeded expectations, and I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. We had a very pleasant stay at the Centara at Kata. The staff was helpful, the buggy ride a convenience. The breakfast has a great selection in local as well as continental varieties. The pools are also quite well placed for children and adults. The room could do with an iron. The location is very centrally located with the beach and food markets quite accessible with a walk

It’s a really family friendly hotel. There is a kids area opened from 10:00 to 18:00. The swimming pools are really good.

Room is fine, not glamorous but fine. Gym has fairly decent kit. Loads of shops, bars, resturaunt around. Hotel resturaunt and bar is also pretty sound. Pool is nice and plenty space around the pool.

I am traveling with 3 children (10 and 7). This is a very family-orientated hotel in a good location. The highlight is the 2 pools surrounded by the 2 hotel blocks. One pool is especially for children and includes a water slide and mini water park suitable for young children, this is the buzzing heart and soul of the hotel, bursting with kids. The other pool is somewhat empty, deep, relaxing... Both pools offer pool-access rooms, which are brilliant. Breakfast is delicious - a good selection of nice quality foods. On-site food is generally excellent and reasonably priced (children eat dinner for free). The bar and pool bar have Happy Hour :) There are also many other food options just along the street. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Super safe - kids running everywhere! Rooms are nice and very clean, but outdated. Super comfy beds!

We reserved a family room for 6 nights. After our arrival we felt very strong smell of canalization. The staff offered us another room 2 nights later. We were with kids, so at the end we stayed in the first room. They tried to help as much as they could, but this kids of hotel should have this smell. Beside this, the room was huge and well equipped.

This hotel located in the middle of the Kata Beach so that has good accessibility to restaurants, stores, and cafes. Above all, it provides a variety of fresh and tasty food in the morning. The kind staff will keep your baggage even before the check-in time while you swim in the pool which is big for a group of family. I also played the table tennis.

Staff are very nice & helpful, room I got later was amazing, kids swimming pool is awesome, breakfast and morning staff are always smiling and very helpful. Location is good nearby has 7/11, restaurants and walking distance to beach etc… Only thing is the room we got the night I arrived was covering mold and kids were sneezing while night and morning. If they can do something about it. Otherwise it’s a great stay for family’s.

The Centara Resort in Kata is located just a few minutes away from Kata Beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can rent a scooter from Timmy Timmy which is just down the street. You can reach all nice spots within a few minutes of drive on a scooter and check out all the spots and beaches from there. The Kata walking street just opened and it’s a lot fun. There is a lot of shops and spas in the area. Restaurants is also near the hotel. Would definitely recommend the resort. They have two nice pools which are very well maintained. The hotel rooms are a bit old but definitely clean. Breakfast was good. It could get a bit crowded during breakfast. 9 am is definitely the most crowded time and you might have to wait for a few minutes.

Last leg of our Thailand trip. Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Krabi, and then Phuket. We this place! Family friendly and close to the main ***** and beach!!!

The hotel is beyond praise. The poor and the entertainment facilities are very applicable. It's not far from the beach and everything you need is around the corner. The only downside is that the only night we stayed at around 7 AM we heard an alarming siren is very noisy we don't know where it from but we were awaken in the morning

We have stayed in one one-bedroom suite as a family with 2 kids for 15 days between 26.01-10.02/2024. We are very glad that we have decided to stay at KATA (instead of Patong and even Karon) and we have booked our family holiday in CENTARA KATA RESORT. It is correct that the hotel needs renovation in certain areas (about other comments) but it did not cause any downside for us. The room was nice and everything was functional in the room, the pool was very nice, and the restaurant&services were great...In short, Everything was perfect for us. If we go to Puketh again, we will stay in the Centara Kata Resort for sure. And one note for the Hotel manager from our stay; In the morning of February 8th around 2:15 am, I had to go to the reception and ask for a doctor for my son. The receptionist called the hotel doctor and I decided to take my son to the Bangkok Hospital upon the doctor's suggestion. When I asked help for with a taxi from the receptionist in charge, he said there was no taxi in the hotel. I asked him to call for a taxi but he said he has not any number to call. As a result, I had to carry my son (he is 45 kg and I am 50 years old) on my back from your hotel to Kata Beach ( about 1 kilometer) as I had seen a taxi station there during the day. There were no taxis around of course. I was lucky to come across a kind Thai person there who offered to arrange a taxi with her phone application ("inDrive") and the taxi arrived in 4 minutes. CENTARA must not allow such incidents to happen again to anybody. This is unacceptable without any excuse.

Walk-up apartment kind of accomodation not for elderly and disabled if you get to stay on 2nd. or 3rd. Floor. Staff are courteous and helpful. Rooms are worn off at average condition.
