An amazing hotel for remote work. I was supposed to stay only 3 nights and I ended up booking a week more.

We spend short holiday at Phuket kata beach every year and every time we chosen Sugar Palm grand hill because it’s cheap, good location and warm customer service however after pandemic they increase their price and you need to pay breakfast separately and its relatively expensive for the breakfast standard. Secondly, we realised hotel mangement and reception people have been changed. Previous customer manager Maria is much more friendly compare with the current team. When we check in on 5 April, the female staff just shouted my passport name with fun. I found it is extremely impolite. So the overall the service level is dropped, prices has gone up. I may need to review for next year hotel list when I visit Phuket Kata.

We booedk the hotel without any expectations, but I think it was the best hotel during our trip in Phuket (3 lived in 3 different hotels). It’s close to the beach ~ 5 mins walking, huge rooms with pool, the pool area is the quiet. No package tourists and the hotel is in the hill, so no families with KIDS! NO KIDS IN THE POOL AND TOYS 😂. Hotel will good for couples and solo travelers.

My stay in Phuket was nothing short of magical! Hotel is nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking sparkling turquoise waters, this hotel truly lives up to its name. The location couldn't be better, with direct beach access and stunning sunsets that left me in awe. The rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated with a touch of Thai charm. The hospitality of the staff was remarkable, as they greeted me with warm smiles and were always ready to assist. The resort offers a range of activities, including water sports and Thai cooking classes, ensuring there's never a dull moment.

Stayed in this hotel for third time . Nice location, 5 min walk to Kata . Good breakfasts. Rooms with pool access are perfect 😍

hotel is close to kata beach(approx. 200m)5 mins walk to 7-11 and mins walk to pharmacy and restaurants. Birds are usually noisy in th3 morning.. The Hotel itself is a bit outdated but our unit has pool access which is definitely a plus.

Nice hotel for affordable price! The room is big, bright and clean. There are bathrobes and slippers in the room. The balcony is spacious. The mattress and pillows were perfectly soft. My room was in the last floor, so I needed to change 2 elevators and then walk by stairs to reach my room, which wasn’t very convenient. Kata beach is around 5 minutes walking from the hotel. There’re plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel.

Very nice for couple if take the room that has private pool outside your sliding door. Can rent motorcycle with affordable price too

My best stay in Thailand. Spacious room with a balcony and a really good bathtub! I enjoyed that a lot. The staff is very polite, thanks Khan for making me feel good about myself (hopefully you got the tip that I left with your colleagues) The Wifi was really good!

Good and nice place to stay. Easy to walk to the beach but not noisy that good to sleep and relax. Staffs are nice and help full. I’m highly recommended this hotel if you visiting Kata Beach and find some place to stay with the great price.

It was great choice to stay in sugar palm hotel. Huge room, bathroom on the balcony, giant bed, rent bike, and cool pool. Thank you! I will definitely back next time!

This hotel is set back about 400 meters from the beach, spreading up the hill. Rooms on the higher levels enjoy great views of the Big Buddha in the mountains as well as some seaside scenery. In the area, you can find all of your Thai amenities and services, from seafood resaturants, to massages, to souvenir stops. If you've been to Thailand before, there's nothing here lacking really though the area is quite family friendly, with little notable debauchery. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. If you do get one of the rooms further up the hill, it is a bit of a trek to get there, but we appreciated the relative privacy and access to our own large swimming pool. Perfect for a dip in the morning. Staff were helpful and friendly, helping to organize motorcycle rental and taxis. Great value for money overall, and an excellent spot for a more relaxing Phuket vacation.

Room was nice and clean. The staff was really nice and friendly. Hotel is really close to the beach just like 200m. for walk. One thing that I didn’t like that elevator is we have to take elevator to 4th floor and walk to the other elevator to get to the 5th-9th floor.
