The location is pin off from the trip location. About 200m away. There is 2 of the same hotel name. So don’t go to the wrong one. The bed is abit hard but still can stay. There is water dispenser in the room. So will keep you hydrated

What an extraordinary hotel. It was converted into a hotel from a 400 year old workshop. The hotel is a combination of old world charm and modern facilities. Really impressive with the service provided by the owners. You just need to arrange with them to pick you up and sending off to the train station for free. Will definitely stay in this beautiful place when visiting Pingyao Ancient City.

This place was amazing! Easy check in, and the hosts were incredible. The guesthouse is very cute, and the rooms are immaculate. I would highly recommend staying here! The location, inside of the old town, was very convenient.

Fantastic ancient Chinese lodging with modern amenities. You get the chance to sleep on a Luohan bed. The room is a suite! Within Pingyao walled city, it was easy to go to visit the sites. The lady owner gave me a map. Even though I speak no Chinese and they speak no English, we were able to communicate using a translator app. She recommended a restaurant when I asked. They made the utmost effort to make your stay enjoyable. The owner took me to the railway station when I left. P.S. Best to download MAPS.ME as it will work offline. Google Maps does not work in China. The taxi will drop you outside the city wall and you can ride the shuttle to the hotel. Make sure you got the Chinese address. Also same possible, install the Wechat app as it is used widely in China - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

We had initially booked a smaller room but was upgraded free of charge to a beautiful traditional style room. The room had everything including heated floors which was great as it was very cold in Pingyao during our stay. The hotel staff was very helpful with everything and even drove us to the train station the day we left. I absolutely reccommend this beautiful hotel and would love to come back here some day!

Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

I booked this hotel temporarily. The owner upgraded me to the best room during the off-season. How generous! The location is excellent, quiet in a busy area. You can walk to the East Gate and South Street, which is very convenient. The service is also very good. They helped me book tickets and cars, and took me to the city gate. They also gave me two bottles of vinegar when I left. It would be better if the lock of the king-size bed room was replaced with a more convenient and safe lock. There could be a kettle in the room, although there is a water heater on the wall. There are multiple options for kettles. Overall, it is very comfortable to stay in. It is a very cost-effective homestay. Recommended.

A friend recommended it to me. The courtyard layout is very stylish and retro. The room is clean and well-equipped. It is very close to South Street. The owner is very enthusiastic and introduced the main attractions and tour routes.

In Pingyao Ancient City, transportation is very convenient, and a staff drove to pick us up from the east gate to the hotel. The service was very considerate, and we were upgraded to a suite. We stayed for 2 nights, and before leaving, they drove us back and gave us local gifts, which was great.

We just passed by and stayed for a day. The inn called a tour guide and a sightseeing bus for us. The service was very good and provided us with the most convenient service. It felt good to catch the light show in the evening. It was also good to take pictures of the night view and walk around. In the afternoon, I had dinner at Hongwuji. You must eat eggplant. If you like sweet and sour taste, you can have a big bowl of rice~ The inn also provides pick-up and drop-off. We parked our car outside the city for 20 yuan overnight. The innkeeper was very enthusiastic. She contacted me one day in advance, picked me up by car, helped introduce the ancient city attractions, sent a map of the ancient city, introduced delicious restaurants, and helped book a chartered car to Wangjia Courtyard. The price was cheaper than what I found outside! There was plenty of mineral water! The decoration of the inn was very classy! Every time I choose to stay, I hesitate for a long time.
